🍩 Milky Hazelnut Latte with Peanut Butter & White Choc Donut
Music and cocktails pair perfectly together. The cocktail is the wonderful medium that can bring people together, and music is the soundtrack of those memorable experiences with the ones you love.
This cocktail is gently inspired by the @coldplay song, “Everglow.” The song itself speaks to loss of relationship and ends with a mandate to the listener to connect with and communicate to the ones whom you care about.
The color of this cocktail was meant to have a glow about it, and it was accomplished quite simply by a flash infusion of butterfly pea blossoms. Truly, it took about ten seconds to get to this blue hue, and the color was perfectly matched wit the tone of the song.
The flavor of the cocktail is gently inspired by a martini called ‘Attention’ by Harry Craddock. The alterations were splitting the base spirits equally, using blood orange bitters, and only washing the glass with absinthe.
So to those who have the chance to be with the ones that matter most to you, savor the season, tell them often of your affection, and be grateful. For those who are in a place of loss, may you find a favorable change coming soon. Cheers!
In the Everglow
1 1/2 ounces Gin @chemistspirits
1 1/2 ounces Dry vermouth @maisonnoillyprat
1 bar spoon Creme De Violette @giffard_liqueurs_syrups
5 drops Wisecraft Blood Orange bitters
Absinthe rinse @stgeorgespirits
5 Butterfly pea blossoms
Flash infuse the gin with the butterfly pea blossoms in a mixing glass until desired color. Remove blossoms, add the rest of ingredients, along with ice, and stir until very well chilled. Rinse a glass with the absinthe, discard the rinse, and pour the drink in. Express lemon over the drink and discard the lemon skin. Garnish with a flower and enjoy!

Thanks to @chenaholic - "Just so you all know, I got a mini fruit allergy from the kiwis during the making of this drink, but I did this for you! All jokes aside, I’ve been wanting to mix up something with kiwis for a while now. I felt the tart of the fruit would pair really well with some rum, and I was not wrong!" Kiwi Kick
1.5 oz White Rum
.5 oz Melon Liqueur
.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
.5 oz Simple Syrup
Half of a Kiwi
Peel and dice half a kiwi and muddle in a shaker. Add rest of ingredients except egg whites. Add ice and shake to chill. Double strain contents from one tin into the other then discard the ice. Add egg whites and shake again. Pour into a rocks glass and garnish with a kiwi wheel.
