East TN is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed.
When we first started RVing full time Randy wanted to find a nice quiet, beautiful spot and simply get used to living in the RV.
He found Bunch Hollow RV Resort in New Tazewell TN. It was a brand new RV resort at the bottom of a mountain on Norris Lake and the view was spectacular 😍
This was our first summer 2016. Local people kept their RV's down there to come out on the weekends, so we had the whole lake, mountain, swimming pool and view to ourselves most of the week. Our own piece of paradise!! For 2 yrs we could open the back of our RV and work while looking at this beautiful lake. It was perfect.
Window reflections from one of my favorite campgrounds in Baja!
Most Baja campgrounds are sandy so it was it was awesome to camp in this grassy, orange grove.

Memories, stories, experiences, and roads when shared together bring more opportunities than if you were alone. Sharing your journey with someone else can make it that much more enjoyable, adventure-filled, and lovely, wherever the road takes you. #HappyValentinesDay 😍 ⠀

It’s someone’s first RV birthday!
Can’t say these first few months rving full time have been easy, but we’ve finally hit our groove I think. Even though you’re sick right now, I hope that this birthday is still a great one. Can’t wait to celebrate your birthday later with you (even if you wouldn’t let me get you a cake.) Happy birthday Stuart ❤️ 🎂

We’ve traveled 22,000+ miles, through 26 different states in around 8 months. •
We’ve seen mountains, oceans, cacti and ancient ruins. We have followed pavement until it turns into the ever familiar dirt road that usually leads us ‘home.’ •
Yet, when we see a moonrise + sunset like this one it makes us remember that there is still so much out there that our souls need to experience. So many other places to see, sunsets to chase, and much more pavement to drive to keep getting us to those old dirt roads. •
We are so thankful for the hard work, mistakes, dedication & sacrifices we made to get us to this point; where we are able to keep exploring, while also creating and growing a business at the same time. •
Cheers, to all of the unexplored places, growth, + magical experiences to come 🙏🏻

Who says black and white is boring? 🖤🤍🖤 I love sitting at this dining room table in the morning and taking in this view of the camper. When it’s nice weather out, it’s nice to open the door and let the breeze come through the screen too. •
While on a road trip in Reno, we stopped by @havelock_wool to check out their healthy-home insulation: New Zealand Wool. We are interested in it because of the weight, and it’s popularity with #vanlifers This ain’t no rock wool baby! (That’s actually rocks & slag, and environmentally unhealthy!). The machines seen in this video are part of the process used to create this superior product. I’ll be writing more about it & will share more later. If you’re interested in learning more now, check out their website havelockwool.com. Or call them up to see the place yourself. They are super!
Camping in Baja was our best RV trip yet, but it required more planning than most of our destinations.
Today on the blog, I have published a detailed guide with everything you need to know before driving to Baja. Link in bio.
Sunday’s with Millie cat. 😻 How does your cat handling traveling? Millie is a stressful traveler.. she likes to be in the bathroom sink while we are going down the road. She meows a lot, too haha but once we are settled, she’s a happy camper. She loves looking out the windows watching nature do it’s thing.

What a bad travel day looks like.
This is the rear right wheel of my father-in-law's fifth wheel. We were driving behind him today at the start of our travel day (on I-10 just south of Las Cruces, NM) when we saw smoke coming from his camper, so we had him pull over.
The bearings on the wheel seized up, ruining not only the tire but also the brakes, and damaging the axle in the process.
After evaluating the damage and the options of what to do next, he was able to drive and pull the camper - though slowly so as not to strain the remaining right tire - back to our previous campground. So about 5 hours after we left, we were back in the very same site.
So we'll be staying in Las Cruces for another week while my father-in-law orders a new axle and - hopefully - gets it installed this week.
So as midwesterners, we started this adventure last year thinking that a desert is a desert is a desert. Meaning all deserts just look the same. However it’s been intriguing to see the huge differences between Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and Southern California. Each area has its own “look”...landscape, plants, soil type and rocks. This park is so much greener than we’ve seen in the past month or so. So beautiful!

This was my favorite campsite in Baja!
We had our own palapa facing the lagoon and we could see grey whales 🐋 spouting in the distance.
There were only a few other campers and it was 15 miles down a dirt road so the stars ✨ were amazing!
Where is your favorite campsite?
Restoring vintage Airstreams is our specialty. It's why Rita is one of our most dear projects: a labor of love where we took out the old and carefully curated the new to be a timeless re-imagination. ⠀
Here's what had to go:
⭐Recycled the dim yellow molded plastic vanity and turquoise café curtains
⭐Removed faded wallpaper and old carpet
⭐Replaced beige linoleum with soft rich wood
⭐Updated faulty wiring and copper pipes for safety ⠀
Renovating vintage airstreams can be overwhelming yet exciting. Do you have questions on where to start with yours? Shoot us a DM to see how we can help!
Here's a beautiful open bath concept we did on Linda, a 1972 Airstream Sovereign 31' and we're honestly wondering: is there anything quite like a good book and a bath? It may only be Tuesday, but this might just help us power through this week's renovation work 🙌 ⠀
What helps you unwind and relax on the road, especially after long days of travel? 🚐

No ones life is perfect, there are PRETTY times and not so PRETTY times, so never compare yourself or your life with anyone else. We all have our own journey.
There is a lot of PRETTY awesome people out there, that are so much more than their looks, their circumstances or their bio's.
Help others see how PRETTY amazing they really are and you will also discover how PRETTY amazing you are ❤
Psalm 139 says that God made all the delicate, inner parts of my body. He knit me together within my mother’s womb. I was made wonderfully complex. God knew me as He was painstakingly designing me with much loving care.
I didn’t just evolve into what I am. I was created and designed with a purpose. And the blueprints of me are similar to other human beings but they’re not exactly the same. I am UNIQUE —and so are you.

Our month in New Mexico taught me so much about living on the road and finding balance. It isn’t always possible to play all day, even when you’re in a cool new place and that’s all you want to do. But there’s always something good to work into your day, whether that’s a morning hike or cooking together as the sun sets. Thanks for the memories, New Mexico. We’ll see you next time 👋

This is our “garage” in our fifth wheel camper. We use the garage everyday. For Christmas we may have 6 adults and a 70lb dog staying with us. The garage can sleep 4 comfortably on 2 queen size beds. We replaced the top mattress and now it’s super comfortable. Our camper is. Keystone Raptor 421CK toy hauler fifth wheel.

Some campgrounds we’ve stayed at have been really gorgeous with beautiful views and landscapes, and others have been more simple with basically just a place to park the RV. We booked this campground a little last minute, thinking it would be just a place to park. But it turned out to have some of the best views of anywhere we’ve stayed - with a pristine lake and walking trail right inside the campground. We are definitely marking this location as one of our favorites 🌲🍂
