Experimented with BLUE cornmeal today!
I bought blue cornmeal in bulk and used corn broth I made by boiling corn cobs after we’d eat the corn off last month. #zerowastewin !!
R e c i p e
• 1 cup green yogurt (in a glass jar from the farmers market)
• 1/4 cup butter (I buy mine in big, Amish logs and recycle the wax paper)
• 2 eggs (from my chickens)
• 1 1/4 cup blue corn meal (bulk)
• 1 cup flour (bulk)
• 1/3 cup sugar (bulk)
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp salt
* i added my corn broth without measuring, and ended up needing to add some masa harina to thicken the batter so I’m going to leave that part out. I just added the corn broth because I have it, and wanted to see if it made my corn bread any “corn”ier haha)
• Bake at 400° for 20!
• Slather then in butter and enjoy! 😚

Craving some noodles and can’t decide what kind? Asian? Italian? Some good ole’ mac and cheese? Nothing but noodles is the way to go🍝! They have a wide variety of genres so you can never really go wrong. I got the Spicy Cajun Pasta and some breadsticks, which in my books wasn’t really that spicy. But it was delicious- especially for some fast food noodles. The spicy cajun noodles is penne pasta tossed with tomato cream sauce🥫, onions, and peppers. My bhabhi (sister-in-law) loves it so much she wants me to bring it back home (Texas) for her! •
Rating: 9/10! The service was great- they brought our food out pretty quickly and it was hot! I love me some hot food! The portions were pretty big as well. The manager stopped by to ask how our food was twice, which was nice and to see if he could bring us anything else. The best part? IT’S SUPER AFFORDABLE! Blueberry Cheesecake is a cause for celebration! This classic and delicious dessert definitely deserves its own day, and lots of tasty treats to go along with it. If you need ideas for blueberry cheesecake recipes,
INGREDIENTS (serves 6 people)
For the Biscuit base
150g Digestive biscuit
75 g melted butter
For the Blueberry mousse
4 gelatine leaves
250 g fresh /frozen blueberry
200g cream cheese
100ml whipped cream
60g powdered sugar
1 tbsp Greek yoghurt
1 tsp. vanilla sugar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
Blitz the biscuits in a food processor until they resemble fine crumbs.
In a bowl, mix the biscuit crumbs and melted butter
Transfer the biscuit base into an 8-inch springform and press into a smooth even layer. Place the tin into the refrigerator for approx. 30 minutes.
Put the gelatin leaves in cold water approx. 10 minutes.
Ina saucepan, bring the blueberries, vanilla sugar and lemon juice to a slow boil. Then blend the blueberry mixture in a blender. Sieve the blueberry puree and push it through the saw until there is only skin left.
Pour the blueberry puree back into the pan and heat it with mild heat for a couple of minutes. Take a soaked gelatine leaves out of the water and add it to the blueberry puree until completely dissolved. Set the mixture aside.
In a clean bowl, whip the cream till you get soft peaks. Add the cream cheese and Greek yoghurt to the whipped cream and mix till well blended
Pour the cold blueberry pulp and powdered sugar into the cream and mix it well together.
Take the cold biscuit base out of the refrigerator and pour the blueberry mixture evenly onto it. Tap the springform so the air bubbles trapped inside pop.
Put the cake back in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours or overnight, so that the cheesecake can stiffen.

It’s been a busy couple of days prepping for a garage sale - are these things even worth it?! I’ve got 13 weeks until baby boy’s due date and I’ve got lots of baby girl stuff that needs a home 🤯 I haven’t baked in a few days, but I LOVE this shot of these caramel chocolate cookies. It’s a recipe I started testing a couple of months ago and haven’t revisited. I think they’ll make an appearance around December ❄️😉
