During the cold and windy days visit indoor @BlueWaveDXB club with it’s Splash Island. The water temperature is controlled being around +31 degrees C. It’s shallow and the lifeguard is always in place. Day pass costs 60 dhs per child until the end of February, an accompanying adult comes for free. Operating hours: everyday 9 am – 9 pm. Should you wish to try their swimming classes, then everything is set up for it in the 25 meters swimming pool. Enquire the information regarding the schedule according to the different swimming levels. Note that the access to the Splash Island is free after each class 😉

Contact @BlueWaveDXB prior to your arrival to double check the rates and special offers 😊
🐵 🐵 🐵 our stay at the Atlantis didn’t go as planned and we really couldn’t make the most of the beautiful hotel and it’s surroundings. We managed to have 3 days of family time together in our 10 days in Dubai 🤦♀️ we rode camels, went to the water park, visited Dubai mall and I feel we did as much as we could in Dubai. For all of us, we don’t think we’ll go back...we feel like we’ve seen it and done it (although I think the 4 day hospital stint didn’t help🤦♀️) what I can say though from the hotel staff to the hospital staff, they couldn’t do enough for us and we felt that Cooper was in the best possible care 👩⚕️ 👨⚕️ #hospitalatchristmas#myboys#pneumoniasucks

DUBAI WITH KIDS 🤩🤩🤩
Everything about Dubai is glamorous, large scale and designed for families with even the youngest of children. It’s the perfect winter escape if searching for sunshine and endless entertainment for the kids.
MORE ON OUR BLOG
Dubai airport! - WE MADE IT!
I’m not sure HOW we made it through that flight, but we made it!!
Our kids are (usually) great flyers, we often get comments from fellow travellers about how well behaved and polite they are. Our kids have never thrown tantrums or cried on flights, even when they were babies.
This flight however, was a TOTAL SHAMBLES!!
For starters we had multiple seat changes because our 2 year old couldn’t decide if he wanted mummy or daddy, then we had a projectile vomiting 4 year old, followed by laps of hot coffee and numerous flying objects hitting people, lots of chair kicking, lots of screaming and shouting and crying and many hours of walking up and down the aisle with a restless 2 year old! To make matters worse, it was a really early flight, so everyone around us was trying to sleep!
It was all made so much worse by the fact that the person sat next to me, in the spare aisle seat, was one of the dads from school 🙈🙈🙈🙈 I’m NEVER going to be able to look at them ever again!
We were THAT family and I feel so sorry for everyone around us who was stuck with us for the 7 hours! Not a single person complained! Thank you 🙏
Anyone else survived a nightmare flight with kids before? I want to hear your stories.
I feel like I’ve levelled up as a travel mum and gained entry into a “nightmare flight with kids, survival club” or “landed, covered in vomit and coffee club” 😷

I've started 2020 by diving into research for the next Greenfeet Guide: Dubai Kids!
First stop: the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital to learn about the national bird of the UAE. These incredible hunters helped Bedouins find food in the desert for centuries. Today a single falcon can be worth 250,000 USD (No pressure on the doctors treating them!) These prized birds have their own passports, and usually travel 1st class when flying abroad with their owners to hunt!

Bright lights on city nights 🌴🐪💛 Dubai Garden Glow, in the city’s Zabeel Park, is a magical wonderland of light installations, and claims to be the worlds largest glow-in-the-dark garden. It may not be the most, ahem, refined or understated destination, but it’s utterly fabulous in its own kitsch and wacky way and the designers clearly have a flair for the dramatic. Some of the sculptures are truly beautiful, particularly the oversized insects and flowers, with intricate detailing and subtle tones; while others are cartoonish and bold, but look sensational against the dark night sky, with the iconic skyline of downtown Dubai beyond. Conscious of its environmental impact, the park’s light installations are made from recycled fabric and energy saving lightbulbs, and it also features an eco-friendly Art Park made from recycled materials. We also love the huge animatronic dinosaur park, and there’s an ice park and a magic park of illusions on site too. We first visited the park shortly after it opened in 2015 when was quite a small attraction, but it gets bigger and better every year, and is now truly spectacular @dubaigardenglow#dubaiwithkids#letitglow#shinebright

Everyday is a beach day 🙂😄😃 Another reason we love #dubai 😍
Back-to-school blues 💙🌴💙Team Palmtrees is definitely feeling blue today, as it’s the first day of term two and time to get back to normal after our lovely long break. Schools broke up on 12 December here, and we’ve had so much fun around Dubai and Abu Dhabi, from tennis championships and beach days to ice skating, hiking, theme parks and escape rooms. Not to mention the boys’ eleventy billion hours on the PS4! We’re all SO grumpy about having to get back into the old routine 😂. The school week here is Sunday to Thursday, so it almost feels worse, as cousins and friends around the world don’t go back until tomorrow. Already planning for the half term and spring breaks though, so watch this space... #palmtrees#feelingblue#backtoschool#holidaysareover#dubailife
What an unusual and quite unique outdoor kids playground near the Open Beach in Jumeirah 2! 😍 The parking is right next to it which is very convenient 👍 We have a lot of fun playing in there and enjoying the beach in between. Warmly recommending you that place 😊 The location is near the bridge to Daria island (with Bulgari hotel on it) and not far away from Four Seasons Hotel. In order to find this spot type in Gооgle Mаps: “Beach Park Jumeirah 2” 😉
What are some of the best resorts you've ever been to?
We usually stay out exploring all day and only return to the hotel to crash in our beds. But sometimes a little relaxation is in order, and having an especially nice place to enjoy yourself helps with the R&R.
In Dubai we first stayed downtown and explored sights in that area. Next we went to Oman, and when we returned to Dubai we stayed in the Jumeirah beach area for a little relaxation.
. @madinatjumeirah Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf is one of the coolest resorts I've ever been to. It's designed to resemble a traditional Arabian town including houses, souks, waterways and more. The property is stunning, we didn't want to leave the resort which is not our typical style!
The service was superb, the grounds gorgeous and the food fantastic. Additional Jumeirah resorts are right there and they share facilities and services to give you more options. Water park tickets are included, and there's an awesome kids splash pad. The beach and pool are perfect too. They were especially accommodating to us traveling with a baby which makes a noteable difference. It was expensive, but we stayed on reward points and it's worth it for what you get. It was such a treat.
Save this post in case you visit Dubai and to remember everyone's suggestions.
What resorts have you been to that wowed you? Help us make a list for future vacations.
We had THE BEST time this afternoon at the Wizard School escape game @phobia.dubai! The escape room was based on a Harry Potter-style wizard theme, and we had to work through a series of challenges in multiple rooms to escape in the usual 60 minutes. I’m not going to give anything away, but let’s just say there were wands, spells and potions involved! It was so much fun for all the family and we were sure we’d get locked in - but we made it out in just over 48 minutes with only 3 hints #nottooshabby The Phobia team was fab, our room master couldn’t have been more helpful, and he even took photos to send to us after we’d escaped. We do love an escape room, but this was by far the best one we’ve done #escaperoom#familyadventures#wedidit#dubai
It's mostly been a brilliant year with just some of the highlights being:
• I had a total career change and started a job I love and I get to do all the morning drop offs and afternoon collects
• Rosalie started nursery and settled in nicely • Rosalie turned 2 and we celebrated with friends
• a trip back to the UK and shipping over our furniture and things cemented our lives in Dubai
• we moved into our villa and started making it our home
But most importantly we've been happy and healthy!
Next year I hope life brings us as much happiness as we have had this year and adventures, whatever they may be.
DUBAI WITH KIDS can be spent at @globalvillageuae these winter months. This was the first time I took my little one to Global Village and he loved every minute of it! The lights, sounds, and music are so much fun 😍
If your kids are bigger they can sample lots of street food options, watch the performances, go to the kids’ theatre, and ride the thrilling rides at the Carnaval 🎠
One in bed with a fever 🤒 and the other with jet lag ✈️ this kid is the last one standing! ☀️ #happyholidays 🤦♀️ #dubai

Once the festive season is over, everyone is going to be thinking about the next best time of year... Can you tell me what that is?
Currently I’m suffering from TRIPOPHOBIA... the amount of times I have checked plane tickets since we got back from Dubai 🤭. And I haven’t even finished sharing our previous holiday with you yet. We have so many pictures, videos and tips to share with you, including our amazing hotel @elitebybloshotel where we have been booking for the past few years.
There couldn’t be a better location to stay at, than just opposite the @malloftheemirates , 20 mins away from the @atlantisthepalm and 15 mins from the @dubaimall_ .
@elitebybloshotel is located in the heart of Al Barsha, their rooms are so spacious, there’s a rooftop swimming pool, and also houses a hair & beauty salon as well as a SPA.
We always like going back here as their service is really amazing and everything fits in with the kind of plans we have.
I’m a bit stuck for our next holiday destination as there’s always something to go back for to Dubai. Where are you planning your next holiday?
When you will return...riusciremo a farci una foto decente! 😂
Chiara, è stato un piacere portarti con la tua famiglia a scoprire una Dubai che ancora non conoscevi! Torna presto! ❤️

IMAGINE is one of our the most beloved after dark shows in Dubai 😍 It takes place in Festival City and it’s as impressive as Dubai fountain but has some more elements in it like: fire, lasers and image projection. There are several shows: Pirates Tales, Star Dancer and A Child’s Dream that are on every half an hour after somewhere 7 pm. See the more detailed schedule on Dubai Festival City’s website and I wonder which show would become your favourite? Mine is definitely the last one from the named above 😉

A break from the Christmas related posts to share our side trip to @thesmashroomdxb We stopped at @lastexitdubai for lunch and what caught our eye but the opportunity to smash things. We took advantage of their tourist deal (99 AED for 1-3 people, 30 minutes) for Tony and the kids to do some smashing. Definitely a memorable and fun experience! I’ll never forget my sweet girl smashing glasses with a mallet... #dubaiwithkids#expatlife#familyfun#smashingtime#smashroomdubai

🎵 All I want for Christmas is you... to stay little! (New version 😂)
Oh Tristan! My last baby! 👶🏻 If only I could keep you little... Of course I wouldn’t because that would deprive you of all of the experiences that each stage of life has to offer. But I would happily slow life down if I could! .
Do you have a favorite “stage” with your kids? Tristan and I are having so much fun right now! He’s out of diapers and out of the terrible two’s! 😅 He’s pretty independent, gets along with his sisters (most of the time), says the funniest things, and gives the best hugs! 🤗🥰
Dubai has to be one of my favourite places I've been too! We usually go between March and May when it's a lovely temperature but we went in August this year and boy was it hot!! Check out my stories to see just how hot 🙈
We always stay @jumeirahzs as its my favourite hotel ever!!! Dubai is extremely expensive with half a watermelon costing £15 ($20) so I'd always recommend staying half board. The food is outstanding in Dubai and if you stay at @jumeirahgroup you can eat at all of their hotels which is what we did in this pic!
As much as I wish it was, this is not an ad, I just have to shout about the kids facilities here at the @jumeirahbh in Dubai. They hands down beat any facilities at any hotel we’ve been to as a family and have made this holiday the smoothest and most chilled experience. The kids club is like no other, so much so that Harrison and Everly have wanted to be in there at every opportunity, the on site kids care is so well thought out and there’s stuff going on whether that’s face painting or games throughout meal times all in clear view of your table. Ice lollies are handed out throughout the day, inflatables are blown up for you, lifejackets are available for all kids and overall the food has been an absolute winner for all. There’s baby rooms, decent high chairs, kids cutlery and bibs which have been supplied in every restaurant and something so helpful is that little ones eat and drink free all day, even around the pool and warm milk is supplied 24/7 to your room whenever baby needs it. Each night we’ve come back to our room to find new pool toys, treats or comforters for the kids and honestly, we all just love it here so much. We’ve not even left yet and I’m already on @emiratesholidays pricing up potential future trips! #dubai#dubaiwithkids#havekidswilltravel#travellingwithkids#kidsclub#familyholiday
I think this little fella loves the entrance of @jumeirahzs as much as I do, so much so he wouldn't go inside!! We've stayed here 5 times now and it is my favourite hotel ever! I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in dubai!
Totally in love with the sunsets in Dubai! Sunset and sunrises here are breathtakingly beautiful and so peaceful!
I've had a lot of people get in touch to say they've never really thought about Dubai and would I recommend it with Kids?! Absolutely Yes!
We came to Dubai for the first time on our honeymoon and fell in love. I remember saying to my husband at the Atlantis water park that Dubai would be a brilliant place to bring children and it was our eldests first trip abroad at 7 months old.
There is so much to do for kids in Dubai and they are really looked after. Our hotel @jumeirahzs offered free 3 course lunch to children under 5 even if adults weren't eating!
The pros for me are
1, Nearly always hot and sunny
2, So much for kids to do
3, No mosquitos
4, The most amazing food you'll ever taste
5, Fantastic shopping 😜
Have you been up the tallest building in the world? I have!! I say that with great pride as myself and tall buildings don't really get along well at all! I'm terrified of heights but I will always try.
