Sometimes you just need to see one go in for it to click. This is one of those lessons that you can take from the game of basketball.
Sometimes you just need one to go in for your rhythm to build. This is why you never want to put a scorer like Kobe or kd to the free throw line whenthey have an off night. If they see an easy free throw go in, that's all they need to catch fire and turn the game around.
This happens off the court as well. Have you ever had just 1 really good workout where you felt amazing afterward and it just got you pumped to be in the gym, this can lead to a good week in the gym and carry on the trend.
Or how about just a really good day, we've everything you need to get done, gets done with no struggle. Everyone is in a good mood and the day just goes smooth. This can lead to a good week and starts the trend.
... or how about when you get a really good idea. You get this amazing idea and soon after you get another and start building on this idea with other good ideas. It only takes one to get locked in.
But if you don't take action, then you stay in the same spot.
..... It only takes ☝️
The opportunity in the struggle
Happy Wednesday everyone! I was recently venting to someone about some of the things I have on my plate. As I'm b*tching, I'm laughing because this is exactly what I asked for, I wouldn't have it any other way, I'd rather have too much to do than not enough. Although I was venting, it was actually helping me clear my head.
I'll vent to a few of my friends and catch myself just talking my way through situations im in. It also helps to have friends that'll either want to help you get through things or will tell you no excuses, get your sh*t together lol. If I'm being honest I want to put more on my plate but it's one step at a time.
One big thing that does help me when I do feel really stressed out, I remind myself that 99%of the time my problems aren't real problems. There's people that have situations wayyyyy worse than what I'm going through so who am I to be complaining. Being grateful and having your priorities straight will keep your mind at ease 99%of the time. As long as friends and family are healthy and I'm taken care of, everything else is a fun puzzle to figure out.
"Everything negative- pressure, challenges- is all an opportunity for me to rise"
MOMMA AIN'T RAISE NO B***H😝
Have you ever had something you were supposed to do, but something came up or you were too tired to do it so you say "eh. . . F*ck it"?
I used to catch myself doing this all the time, especially when I was injured and trying to get my workout in. When I'd go to the gym I might play too many games of basketball or might be sore somewhere to where id talk myself out of my actual workout. I figured out some ways to switch that thought process and go for it anyway.
1) PLAN IT. DO IT
- Every morning I write down my agenda for the day, where my workout is usually thrown in there somewhere. Now if it's in the morning plan, it has to get done, no excuses. It doesn't matter how I feel, so there's no point in coming up with excuses because the decision is already made.
2) TELL SOMEONE ABOUT YOUR PLAN/ GOAL
- When we say what we're going to do out loud, we're more motivated to do it. It doesn't have to be social media (but why not, tell your friends/ family/ fans what's going on) you can just tell one other person. We're more likely to finish our goal when we don't want to be embarrassed that we didn't do it
3) YOU AIN'T NO B***H
-Okay, so this one may not work for everyone but it does for me in the right situation. When im in the process if doing something, say running, and I want to stop before im done, I will literally call myself a b*tch. I know it seems funny but it works... for me at least. It gets me fired up and it challenges me.
Give these a try and let me know if they work for you.
