Here's more fun places to explore in Dubrovnik. Just outside the famed city walls of the Old City (seen in lower right), you'll find this charming & peaceful cove with a small stone pier. --------
On a rocky beach (off to the right, hidden from view by the city walls), you can rent kayaks (like the red one in the photo). We didn't have time to go kayaking, but it seems like a great way to get some seaside views of Dubrovnik. -------
What I did do was climb up the hill on the left to visit the Fort of St. Lawrence - Dubrovnik's oldest fortress! It's definitely worth the 208 steps for getting some beautiful views over the Old Town. I don't remember the exact price, but there's a small entrance fee to enter the fort.
All I need right now is blonde hair & 3 dragons 🐉 ... 🤷♀️but you know life isn’t fair. Visiting the famous “King’s Landing”

Today I visited Dubrovnik, in southern Croatia, famous for its old town encircled by a massive stone wall and beautiful red clay roof buildings. It is also known for being the filming location for Game of Thrones (King’s Landing)! Don’t hate me but I am one of the world’s 3 people who have actually never watched GOT. That said, I still had an amazing time - It is beautiful with so much history, whether you love the show or not. #dubrovnik#dubrovnikcroatia#dubrovnikoldtown#croatia#gameofthrones#passionpassport#proudtobeasian
Dubrovnik city walls were built all around the old town of Dubrovnik, around the seashore,to protect a town from pirates and unwelcome guests. These enormous walls that encircle the entire old town, dotted by fortresses and overlooking the sea are the city’s most famous feature. No visit to Dubrovnik would be complete without a walk around the spectacular 25m high walls.
Have you ever been to Dubrovnik? Have you even heard about it before Game of Thrones?
