This weeks schedule y’all!! Very excited to be part of @laanimalsave’s pig vigil this Sunday night! We’re so excited to support the folks out there giving water and vigils to the thousands of animals every day that get brought to Farmer Johns to be slaughtered in incorrigible ways for human consumption. We see you 👀, we stand with you ✊🏻, that shit isn’t RIGHT!!
Taman Nasional Baluran
sebagai Afrika van Java .. Baluran mendapat julukan Africa Van Java atau Little Africa.
Posted @withrepost • @earthdaynetwork Meaningful change rarely happens without the galvanizing force of influential individuals .
2019 was the year the #climatecrisis went from ambient political noise to squarely on the world's agenda, and no one did more to make that happen than @gretathunberg .
Thunberg's commitment and authenticity has helped to galvanize a growing youth #climatemovement worldwide .
2020 has to be the year we finally change gears and #ActOnClimate , starting with the 50th anniversary of #earthday and beyond .

🇬🇧--100 KG OF PLASTIC IN THE STOMACH
A large sperm whale in Scotland had a "garbage ball" of 100 pounds of plastic and fishing nets in its stomach. The mammal was found Thursday in the Scottish island of Harri and was examined by biologist experts: when its stomach was opened, a "horrible" plastic skein, ropes, plastic cups, gloves and nets came out fishing.
The number of dead stranded cetaceans is increasing on British beaches: between 2011 and 2017 on the islands of the United Kingdom it reached the number of 4896 animals with an increase of 15% compared to the previous seven years. Plastics and nets dispersed in the sea represent a danger also because of the possibility of getting tangled in animals, hindering them in their movements, in eating and in swimming.

enneagram inspired series.
type 5 | the investigator, the iconoclast, the problem solver.
Smart as hell, introverted in nature though often hilarious, introspective and persuasive once you get to know them. Fives love expanding their minds more than anything, and as my brother (my favorite person and also a 5) once said - they can sometimes hoard time, craving those moments alone to put their minds into their interests. I’ve learned to put quality over quantity through my relationships with 5s. (I’ve also learned my taste in music sucks but can’t win em all.) •
Stay tuned for the rest of the series and if I haven’t said it loud enough yet - take the enneagram test!!!
This week's episode is a power-packed panel of film makers and producers discussing the massive impact that virtual reality films can have for conservation.
We sit down with @christophe.bailhache (an underwater filmmaker and co-founder of Underwater Earth), @sophie.ansel (a virtual reality filmmaker), Raymond Chavez (a producer for Guardians of the Kingdom), and Susan Grella (an associate producer for emerging media at @vulcanproductions) to hear about the process behind the incredible VR film, Guardians of the Kingdom!
The film tells the story of the Tongan people as they transitioned from a whaling economy to one based on eco-tourism. Listen in to learn more about the amazing work this team is doing!

Preventative measures are where it’s at. The amount of food we waste on this planet is insane, especially when compared to the number of people who are starving and going without. 🍊 Waste not, want not.
• NEW DISCOVERY in the hunt of planets that could support alien life!
• Scientists have disvocered that water is "commom" on many planets outside of our solar system, thus possibly forever changing our understanding of how planets are formed and the conditions needed for alien life.
• The discovery was made in the most intensive survey of the chemical components of planets ever conducted, therefore helping our challenge for finding water on planets in and out of our solar system.
• The data was collected from 19 different explanets, varying vastly in size. Some are knows as "Mini-Neptunes" (Earth x10), while others are called "Super-Jupiters" (Earthx600).
• They found that water was "common" across many of those exoplanets. But they also discovered that there was less of it on those planets than expected, and there was great variety between the different kinds of worlds.

This year on my Earth Day I have been reflecting on the last year as I have been deeply working on myself. In the past I used to think that this was a selfish thing to do but as I grew wiser, I realised that is the best thing one can do for him/herself. Being present and looking inwards made me release a lot of self limiting beliefs. I have become kinder, more compassionate and I have been working on judgement and criticism. I’ve also released attachment to people and things which improved my relationship with myself and others. It’s been the hardest yet most rewarding year of my life. I finally feel that I am moving somewhere. Most of my life I’ve been lost, but I found my path. I know there is a lot of challenges on the way, but I also know they are there for a reason. There is a lesson for us in every situation. We just need to stop, take a deep breath and ask ourselves “What can I learn from this situation?” If we are patient and willing to listen, the answer will always come. By waking up every day and setting the intention to be better than we were yesterday we can be 365 days better for our next Earth Day. And if we are better, who will not benefit from it? As we raise our own vibration we raise the vibration of the whole universe. And that is truly beautiful. It’s not egoistic, it’s not selfish, it’s kind and compassionate. It’s unconditional love to all that is. My intention for the year ahead is exactly that. I will continue to self improve and spread love to the world through my thoughts, words and actions. I am going to start with sending love your way so if you are reading this, know that you are loved and accepted exactly as you are. I am sending you a hug so please close your eyes and hug yourself. I will be more that happy if you do so. And feel free to send me a hug back 🤗❤️

A historic moment today as @gretathunberg is announced as the first Autistic @Time ‘Person Of The Year’. ___
Spearheading the fight for climate change and igniting a generation of activism, Greta’s uncompromising attitude and incredibly detailed knowledge of climate change has made her an unstoppable force of clarity, attention and reason in this disorientating environmental debate.

World: Meet Elou! (Taylor’s nephew, basically). He has been a fan of Avocadamama since Day 1! There’s nothing like working an event and having him run behind the tent to surprise us and say “I CAN SMELL THE MAC & CHEESE!”. He brings us so much joy and recently his younger brother FINALLY likes the Mac & Cheese too! (He was skeptical at first but he’s on board now pheww)! Elou always got OG but recently upgraded to The Big 3 and well his face explains it all!!

Our best moments from 2019! 💧💙🌍
We launched the UK’s first 1 Litre carton water! And… If you look closely, you’ll see the waves on our carton which represent the beach our founder Neil grew up on. Neil surfed in Durban, South Africa when plastic pollution was non-existent, but over the years the problem evolved and he was inspired to create Aquapax #BeTheChange

Over 7,500 gathered in Sydney to protest the raging bushfires that have destroyed almost 3 million acres of New South Wales and Queensland. The fires have been intense and earlier than anticipated, which scientists have directly attributed to severe droughts caused by global warming. Protesters are demanding that the government take action on the blazes, categorized by former Prime Minister Turnbull as a "national security issue".
