Today, more than ever, working and caring for the land is an act of resistance. Thanks to indigenous peoples’ knowledge of forest management, they have been able to weather the tides of change and rely upon their territories to survive, and in doing so, protect our world’s largest rainforest. In the midst of this global pandemic, indigenous people are affirming their food sovereignty and resilience by harvesting and sowing food for their communities as true caretakers of the land.

“She asks me to kill the spider”⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is such a beautiful story to help put in perspective about why harming spiders is wrong 🙏🏽 when I was in my early teens I used to be so frightened of spiders that I used to find any way to get rid of them but I overcame my fear and now I’m the go to person to help save a spider in the house from being killed 😇 next time you see a spider please see them for what they are... a beautiful creature 🕷
