Barba amarilla (Bothrops asper)
En la Reserva Natural @lostarralesreserve ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A cryptic animal is one that can get lost in its surroundings thanks to its camouflage. Do you think this snake meets that definition? There's occasions where we can't seem to find snakes. Even though we can't see them, that doesn’t mean that they can’t see us. Lurking in the jungle floor following our every step. Impressive animals for sure and worthy of our respect.
A brown hare sat amongst freshly fallen snow up in the Cairngorms. Finally getting some cold winter weather at the moment! Hopefully it sticks around as it makes for some stunning filming and photographic conditions.
Another classic capture from the Dolomites! This time in the very well known Val di Funes, at a beautiful afternoon after the first snowfall of the year, when strong fall colors cover the whole valley.

Another planet. | The wild sand was a soft filter, and the hills looked like golden islands rising from the sea. This is what I saw after two hours of quiet waiting at the top of the mountain. Maybe another‘The Martian’could be shot here, But let me stay here, I don't need to be rescued :)
Spent a brilliant few minutes with @jarvismj and this little guy. He (the robin) was super confident and seemingly nonplussed about us hanging out in his territory.
He was constantly singing whilst he hunted for worms. A funny juxtaposition to us maybe, cheerful chirping whilst ending a life, but I suspect he was either warning off competitors or telling his kin where the best food was 🐦

Keyifli haftalar dostlar..
Yarın yeni bir kamp için yollardayız.
Hikayeler geliyor ☺️🏹

Do we have contempt for the natural environment? Contempt for all other living things? Contempt for the scientists? Contempt for the climate? Contempt for the planet?
Now - I will define the meaning of contempt...’the feeling that a person or a thing is worthless or beneath consideration’...sounds very familiar doesn’t it.
I haven’t felt like posting the last month as I have been truly terrified, outraged and devastated at everything that is going on. Truly. And how are things seemingly getting worse due to people in power making barbaric decisions? It’s almost as if a small hand full of people (the people in power) have decided to have a war - on the planet.
Reducing our carbon footprint isn’t something that’s just a fad - it’s an absolute necessity! We have known this for years!! But people have continued to ignore the science! Here’s a little story from more than 2 decades ago... From 1994 to 2001 one-third of the Serengeti lion population was wiped out due to a canine distemper epidemic and Babesia infections. This was one of the first cases I remember coming across that showed how climate change can cause disease epidemics... The herbivores lions hunt had lower immune systems themselves due to not having enough plant life to eat due to the lack of rain. This lead the herbivores to be more susceptible to ticks, which carry blood parasites, which in turn the lions consumed - ending with one third of the population wiped out. The extreme droughts meant more parasites, followed by torrential rain - no chance.
If one thing goes - everything else is affected.
Science has been telling us the truth for YEARS! And what has been done? NOTHING!! I’m hurt, angry and confused by people’s sheer want to consume everything and anything they can. Either for wealth, to look good, fame or for simple personal gain. There will be nothing left soon. Then you might listen.
Normal service will resume tomorrow - I just needed a rant xxx
