Ad/PR Sample - let me introduce you to @zwoice! A zero-waste marketplace just for buying and selling beautiful eco-friendly products! But not just that. @zwoice is run by Philippe and Nika who try to make it zero-waste every step of the way: powered by renewable energy, minimal and compostable packaging and they also pick a kg of street waste for every item sold!!!
Their mission is to redefine the way we shop online, preserving this planet for future generations and keeping a million wasteful products from being made! .
My items all came packaged with no plastic, the soap just wrapped in paper. I finally had the feeling somebody is actually trying to make it as eco-friendly as possible! .
Go check out @zwoice to see what they have to offer and let's help to make their vision come true! (Of course not by buying things we don't need) I really hope that this is how future online shopping looks! .
Hey there friends! I've been quiet on the grid recently, mainly because I've been feeling a bit 'blah' and I find it hard to write a caption when I feel like that. I don't want to seem like I'm moaning, but also I don't want to put something meaningless just for the sake of posting a picture! So here's a pic of early morning Tenby to break the insta-fast...and please tell me how you are? X
Wonderful sunlight after long hours of pouring rain last night. I found all edible plants and herbs at the backyard look heaven like of green resources. Some are naturally grown and some are incubated by me.
It's time to start taking action on climate change. Last Friday, we participated in the Global Climate Strike, spearheaded by Greta Thunberg. We think she's amazing, and she thinks you are too. We've put together some simple suggestions from Greta on how you can take action and get that makin' a difference feeling:
1) Spread awareness
2) Plant a tree
3) Be part of the reuse economy More details can be found on our latest blog page. Swipe up in our stories or visit https://www.thedirtcompany.com.au/blogs/dive-in/what-greta-suggests

Today marks the start of Mental Health Awareness Week and Climate Action Week. A real double whammy, two areas which need way more attention than they get. The fight for our planet is going to be a long and hard slog, but we must give ourselves grace and compassion to know when its time to rest.
To all you wonderful humans working around the clock to make this world a better place, thank you. But remember than your worth doesn’t lie in your ‘doing’ but simply in your ‘being’. Don’t be afraid to say no, or to put yourself first. 💚🌏
👆🏽YAY OR NAY?👆🏽 #PASSONPLASTIC ❌ Do you think this should be in all single-use products (not sure it could fit on a #coffeecapsule though🧐)?
Sipping from takeaway coffee cups and water bottles could become slightly uncomfortable with many supporting cigarette-style warning labels on single-use plastic products, according to research. Seven in 10 say common single-use plastics should carry tobacco-inspired warnings, while six in 10 Brits say it will become a social taboo by 2021.⠀
Sky Ocean Rescue, who conducted the research, and Project 0 have teamed up with stars including Kate Moss, Harry Kane, Cara Delevingne, Bob Geldof and Princess Eugenie to urge people to Pass On Plastic.
Seven in 10 also said they have reduced their plastic usage in the past year because of its impact on the environment and oceans.
Nearly 56% predict single-use plastic items, such as water bottles, coffee cups, food wrappers and cutlery, will become socially unacceptable within the next three years.
We have been living in Turkey for the past 5 years. Sometimes we travel and change our residency but Turkey has firmly established as our family hub. Easy to live, easy to travel, great Mediterranean cuisine (including wine and olives), Istanbul Grand Bazaar, and many other wonderful things. Here's my top five:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Breakfast is a big deal. Unless you tried a proper Turkish Breakfast do not even bother saying that you've been here.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Turkish barbershops are a totally different level of grooming. Getting a haircut is old-school. The new norm is getting yourself shaved, cut, groomed, massaged, and toned up (Turkish tea inclusive). My weekly ritual costs me around 10€. How much do you get for your money?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Çai (Turkish Black tea) is the foundation of life. Work, kids, fun, sea, food are just some distractions in between tea breaks. Don't forget a simit with a cup of çai.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4. While in Turkey you do not learn how to drive, you feel how to drive. If you feel it's okay to drive the wrong way on a one-way street, fine; if you feel it's okay to block a tourist bus because you desperately want a kebab, fine; if you feel like avoiding the seat belt for yourself and your wife with a kid on the front seat, fine. It is hard to explain how it works, you better hop into the driver's seat and try it yourself.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
5. Peshtemal towels. If you don't have one, you've definitely missed out. This thin organic towel roots back into Ottoman Hamam culture hundreds of years ago. The towels are made of Premium Organic Turkish Cotton that thanks to the technology becomes even softer, fluffier, and more absorbent the more you wash it. Once you go with it, you will never look back.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The good news is that we have just added Peshtemal to our collection:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
– Premium Organic Cotton peshtemal⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
– Bamboo peshtemal⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
– Linen peshtemal⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
P.S. Çai is coming:)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

You don't always need a plan.
Sometimes you just need to breathe, trust and see what happens.

Our underarms often need a bit more cleaning than the rest of us - often clogged up with both sweat and deodorant. The underarm detox from @notoxlife is just brilliant at getting your armpits sparkling.
Totally vegan, palm free, detergent free, fragrance free and is a gentle exfoliant.

@TraderJoes soyrizo is a good dupe for regular Chorizo. It’s definitely not a #plasticfree package and you can make some form scratch but I love this easy meal. . TJ’s #soyrizo is quick and tasty I’ve served it to plenty of my non-vegetarian friends without them knowing the difference. .
I always mix it with veggies to maximum filling and flavor. .
I cook half of the packet at a time to eat throughout the day. .
1 packet of Trader Joe’s Soyrizo (I find it to be the least greasy)
Half a small Onion
Half a Red Bell Pepper
1 medium Potato
Chop Potatoes, Onion, Pepper into small cubes.
The Key is to make them the same size to they cook evenly.
Get two skillets
In one Skillet put two tablespoons of Olive Oil
Add Half of the Chopped Onion, save half of it for later, and Soyrizo (make sure to remove casing).
Put on high medium high heat, stir constantly for 10 minutes or until Soyrizo is all evenly brown. .
I like my Soyrizo on the crispier side but that’s up to you. .
In a separate skillet add 3 tablespoons of Olive oil wait until it warms, don’t let it smoke. .
Add potatoes on medium heat with and cover. Stir every two to three minutes for it should take 10-15 minutes depending on how small you cut them. Check them often and they’re done once they’re soft all the way through. .
But five minutes into cooking potatoes add an ounce or so of water. This will create steam for the potatoes and help them cook faster. This is also the time you add the rest of the onion and bell pepper. If you’d like you can also add a dash of garlic powder. .
Once all the potatoes are cooked all the way through and the soyrizo is crispy I combine in one pan and stir for a few more minutes until onions are transparent and caramelized. .
You can top with an egg or serve as is. My favorite way to serve it with a over medium egg and some home made tortillas to gather all the goodness.
Happiness is much easier when there are less things to care about.
Having less means thinking less about what to wear, where to put all that stuff, managing someone who can repair something, .. and is saving time and money for important things in life.

I have been making a big effort to transition into a more sustainable and low tox home.
You might think that this has become a new trend but frankly, it should be. We should be doing everything we can to make the earth a better place to live.

The average Australian women uses around 10,000-12,000 disposable menstrual products in their lifetime. Which is kinda crazy!?!? The concept of a menstrual cup seems kinda strange at first, the disabled bathrooms will become your best friend at work 🚽

And something I remind myself daily at the moment whilst my “spirited” middle child tests my boundaries like you wouldn’t believe. ⠀
A good friend of mine (@simply_lifestyle_uae I’m looking 👀 at you) told me that spirited children turn a huge corner behaviour wise when they reach age 4.....⠀
No pressure BUT he’s turning 4 in less than 2 weeks and if you’re wrong I’m going to hunt you down for filling me with false hope 🤣😘⠀
My happy AF place ✨🦋 Fresh air, tofu scramble wrap, smoothie and a book - could it be better? This book is absolutely captivating but I feel so icky. I only learned about the term “male gaze” a few weeks ago and I’m wondering if this book may be a good example? Looking forward to book club to discuss, yay! 📖 #thevirginsuicides

Simplified bathroom ✨ //
The low waste movement has helped me simplify many of my every day routines. One area where it’s made a significant impact is in the bathroom. My bathroom used to be filled with endless plastic bottles that would hold shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, face wash, etc! 🧖🏻♀️
Most of you will know that swapping to soap bars has been one of my favourite switching because they’re economical and save on so much single-waste plastics and waste. My boyfriend and I both use bamboo toothbrushes (usually @georganicsuk) and electric toothbrushes. Whilst the latter are made from plastic, only the head needs changing every few months and I recycle these with @terracycle at @bulkmarketuk! After speaking to several dentists, the electric toothbrush is something I’m not willing to give up. Likewise for fluoride toothpaste, some people avoid it, we personally trust the advice we’ve received to use fluoride. I’ve tried a few affordable ‘eco’ toothpastes available in London but none of them worked for us. Instead of buying and half-using more expensive eco toothpaste, I’ve decided to revert back to an old favourite. It’s not perfect or ideal but until I find something that works for me/us this will have to do. Open to any suggestions you might have!
Don’t feel guilty for not perfecting any low waste or zero waste routines you may aspire to have. You can’t achieve perfection over night. Do what you can and always strive to do better if and when possible. And remember what works for one person might not work for you and vice versa, so figure out what works for you and stick to it!
These gorgeous towels are a lovely #gift from @dipanddoze but I’ll cover that in a post soon! Stay tuned!! 💓
Apologies for the slight radio silence over the past two weeks. I’ve been in France and took the opportunity to take a break from posting but I’m back and I’m ready for some more action 😬 p.s. the train to and back from France was delightful. More about that soon too!
