Over the years, I've been blessed with many opportunities to explore new places & experience new things. ✈️ My outlook on life has evolved literally every single step of the way. 💭

There's a whole lot of world out there for us to see, guys, with so many different types of people & cultures than just what your used to growing up solely in your home town. 🏠 Personally, being from literally the middle of nowhere, I know how overwhelming it can be when you're faced with a decision whether to leave or stay where you feel most comfortable. 😳 I've grown to have an incredibly open mind to all the possibilities out there whether it be moving to somewhere completely new for a year or two to simply take in the dissimilar atmosphere of a new city or even something as straightforward as being able to accept someone who is not entirely like you because of where they're from. 🌎

I believe entirely that my decisions to branch out from my comfort zone play a huge part in why I perceive life the way that I do & I genuinely encourage everyone to travel somewhere they've never been & have always wanted to go to at least ONCE in their lifetime just to see what more is out there! 🍃
Jumping into the unknown of 2020 like.. Happy almost half way through Jan! Crazy isn't it?
You know what?
I actually don't have any resolutions, and apart from my sisters wedding in Oct, my year is looking very much unknown. And that really does feel so strange but refreshing!
I'm such a goal orientated person and I function best if I'm working towards something but right now I'm just carrying on with where I was at, at the end of last year (before it got crazy busy in Dec). I have been cutting down on life crap, I've been gyming more and adoring it. So for the next few months this is where a lot of focus will be. Not a New Year, New Me but New Year, keeping up with what is making me happy.
And embracing the unknown!
As much as you can plan for life, it won't always go to plan and that can be frustrating, but also wonderful and fun. Embrace that!
Try new things, be open to new opportunities. Walk a different route, try a different coffee shop, talk to someone new. If someone you meet invites you for a drink (or to join a party, which really oddly happened last month!) say yes! You might have the best time! And I did! (Though obviously please don't get murdered)
Enjoy new experiences! I tried climbing for the first time in forever on New Year's Day and once I got over the sheer terror of jumping off the wall it was bloody fantastic!
What I'm trying (very rambly) to say is embrace the unknown! You never know what might happen, and that is the joy of life!
Join us today at TreeTops Newcastle for our RFS fundraising and appreciation day. Don't forget to bring along your letters and drawings to pass on to our local brigade. Raffle tickets are available for a gold coin donation. See you there!
Take a different route today and see what you notice.
I drive to different parts of Brisbane regularly to go to different playgrounds with my boys. I am forever being surprised by the incredible changes Brisbane is constantly undergoing. A changing growing city! Do you go to the same ol' places or like to visit new places?
Moving forward is not frightening! Not able to move forward is! Life is about exploring new things, making wrong and right choices. And it’s impossible to find right choices without being brave enough trying new things. 💫
So be brave! Try new things! Trust your own experience! 💫
new to this insta. honestly wasn't sure where to start. but I'm pretty fond of our mama earth, so this seemed like a good enough place. if you stick around long enough, you'll probably see more pics from this day.

I might be an Aquarian but it is the only water part about me, I love looking at water but it’s rare that you’ll see me in it.
Scuba diving was not only a new skill for me last year, but it was also about overcoming an incredible fear. Achieving that certification paid off in ways I cannot even describe, it certainly made me damn proud of myself.
So tell me. When was the last time you tried something new?
Moving outside our comfort zones helps us grow as a person and the sense of accomplishment that comes with putting ourselves in new, uncomfortable or awkward situations can flow on to so many other parts of life.
I am grateful for this little duplex that I purchased 15 years ago. It's nothing fancy, but it was perfect for me. I developed the basement and put my massage and pilates practice downstairs when I lived here. I never sold it when I moved to Canmore and have been so lucky to have been able to rent it out to amazing renters that are now enjoying it. I still have my work studio located in the basement and continue to treat my Calgary clients here.
It's still my home even though others live in it.
Today I am grateful I have this place and have been able to rent it out as I explore, get back in touch with my true self and experience a new life outside of Calgary.... for now.
Well, another year, another decade. The 2010s brought so many new things for me...earning my masters, getting married to my best friend in Key Largo, bringing in my 30’s, changing careers. It brought heartache and loss, but also so much love as well. I’ve grown as a person, discovered more about myself, and deepened my faith and compassion for others through new experiences. We’ve moved too many times to count, lived in new places, met new people, fell in love with different cultures. We’ve been blessed beyond measure and have survived everything that’s come our way. But, as with all things, this chapter comes to an end. And not a minute too soon. 👋🏼 Farewell 2019, hello to the new Roaring ‘20s! I cannot WAIT for this year and the new adventures that await. 🍾 .

"And now we welcome the new year, full of things that have never been."
Fabulous evening with @maple_tiramisu in Kyoto having Joyagama, final tea of the year. Randy and I have known each other for 20+ years and I'm glad my family and I could finally experience this with you. You're the best, Ran-chan! #urasenke#teaceremony#kyoto
Yep.... that must be the problem 😜.... I’m itching to go somewhere 😎... get away from this heat 😓... see and experience things I never have. 😍
Who wants to be travel partner(s)? 🙋🏼♀️
Checking off Nashville in August and Austin in October... now where to go in September 🤔🤔🤔
🌎TRAVELLING THE WORLD feels like we OPEN A NEW DOOR every country we visit!
And we love it!! 💚
Who else feels like this?!
Opening some new doors can feel scary or make you nervous and uncomfortable, but if you never try then you will never know 😉.
And that new experience just may be better than you ever imagined! And if not, then at least you were brave enough to try and you won’t have regrets later.
