I had the great opportunity to collaborate with many great artists in our Queen City, Charlotte, this summer through #queencitynerve and their efforts to help artists by making a Charlotte themed coloring book! Covid 19 has made it hard for many artists, help support us and get your coloring book.
With family visiting, I want to show off our city but it’s not easy when we want to be mindful of social distancing and most of our favorite establishments are closed. Camp North End in Charlotte, NC is the perfect place to take a stroll outdoors, explore some really cool architecture and street murals, all with the backdrop of the Uptown skyline. Restored factory buildings are the perfect mix of gritty and rustic with quirky, modern elements. Each time we visit I’m amazed at the continued development and there is still more to come. Can’t wait to go back and try @lacasetaclt for empanadas and @sarubbramen for ramen!!
I wish I could have spent all day snapping pictures because everything about @campnorthend is totally Insta-worthy!

Beautiful natural area improvement! The circular patio and boulder wall we actually installed last month. The client then called back and said he wanted a paver walkway tied into the patio. Now you can’t even tell the patio and walkway we’re installed at different times.
When smoking with charcoal on your Big Green Egg or Weber Grill, add some Carolina Cookwood to the fire. It’s local wood that is still wet which means it still has the sap in it and will give a wonderful flavor to any marinade or rub. Making Beef? Add Carolina Cookwood’s White Oak chunks to your charcoal. It will enhance any marinade or rub with a clean smoke flavor. How about Turkey or Pork? Try using Carolina Cookwood’s Hickory or Apple chunks. Better yet - use a little Hickory and Apple for a delicious meal. Add Maple with salmon for a sweet taste or Pecan with salmon to add some nuttiness. If you like to walk on the wild side, try Maple and Pecan for a sweet and nutty flavor. Let’s not forget chicken. Throw some Cherry chunks in to add a light and fruity taste to your dish.
String of Pearls! 4" pot for 12 each. They have lots of new growth and are so full! These need direct sunlight so keep near a window. Fertilize at least once a month and allow soil to dry but don't keep so dry that pearls shrivel.
I've got to be the only person who works all day, goes home to relax but decides to go back to your job just to get 3 itty bitty plants for those 3 empty pots i been meaning to fill! It's really dangerous having a key to the place and only live a mile away. 😂😭🤦♀️🤭
