For too long over this year I've made sure to be a support for my friends and I'm blessed so much for those that I've let close to me. Over the last few weeks I've realised it's ok to take time for myself. As I started to feel drained and tired (both mentally and physically) I realised a break was needed. As I've tried to be a support for them they have been a massive support for me and I am so thankful for such good people. It's ok to be selfish when you need to. God is good and I trust Him. What I believe He has said Yes to will come to pass but my focus has to be on the Living water.
He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:38 NKJV

I confess, I approached this waterfall with indifference. After the hundreds (thousand maybe?) of images I had seen of Skogafoss, I assumed I had seen it. But the truth is, seeing it and experiencing it are two entirely different things.
I suppose it has been my tendency to view solitude as a requirement for “epic-ness.” It was @abbihearne who checked my crummy attitude and said “there’s a reason this place is so popular, I want to see why!”
This one comment tipped off a whole conversation and perspective shift that I am incredible thankful for. In my arrogance, I had made the (ridiculous) judgement that tourist stops are overrated—
but as I ran toward the falls, away from the bulk of the crowd, enveloped by mist and a thunderous roar, a new thought came to me. This place is no less magnificent because of the people that gather to experience it.
—Then amidst the roaring, a still small voice, My power is greater than the chaos around you.
Thanks @abbihearne for the perspective and images of this exact moment 🖤

Another amazing meal in Reykjavik from @fiskfelagid ! Got the cod and it was incredible (a huge portion as well)! The bread from Fish Company was also fantastic (so so fluffy) and it came with caramelised butter + homemade cranberry granola, which gave it a little dessert-y feel! Located near city center, I highly highly recommend fish company as lunch/dinner spot 🥰

Out of almost 5 stunning waterfalls we've seen in Iceland, this one stands out! It's amazing. Watching waterdrops falling from the top hitting your face or even leading to a shower is so refreshing and wonderful. Much amazing photos could've been taken from behind the curtain of the waterfall. The way is so slippery and I didn't have the courage to take the risk again to go through after I slipped on my way while getting around.

It was warm and soothing and awesome. I want to go back.
So happy to finally have made it to this place. It was one that I found so hard to grasp and now that I've seen it, I can only recommend that you put this on your itinerary if you ever make it to Iceland! 💙
It’s snowing in the South and West of Iceland. Everything looks that much more beautiful with a fresh dusting of snow!
