If you see this Kanji, it usually signifies something of higher power. I mean that in the sense of Heaven or Sky but it also shows up in the compound of Emperor, Weather and Genius to name a few. Most of the time this will be pronounced as Ten, whether it's by itself or in a compound, so it's a great one to remember (As always, double check if you're not sure). Let's see an example sentence and I'll put some compound words below as well;
The Tokyo Imperial Palace is the primary residence of the Emperor of Japan. It is a large park-like area located in Chiyoda city, Tokyo. This Gardens are a part of the inner palace area and are open to the public. This is one of the spot you can enjoy when cherry blossoms or maple leaves
The roots of Ueno stretches back to the 1880s, in the Meiji Era (1868 to 1912). Ueno Park was, in fact, the first public park to open in Japan in the year 1876, and it currently also houses cultural facilities like an art gallery and museum.
Ever since Ueno Station opened in 1883, commercial establishments and departmental stores have been setting up shop around the vicinity of the station, developing the area further. Eventually, in 1972, Ueno Zoo welcomed adorable pandas.
Ueno is also a veritable shopping paradise with bustling market streets such as Ameyoko, departmental stores like Matsuzakaya, and the ABAB shopping complex. (LiveJapan)
Kalo mau lihat street market jepang harus dtg ke Ueno nama pasarnya Ameyoko pas bgt disebrang Ueno station. Semua dijual termasuk Ikan segar, buah buahan, jgn lupa kalo ke ameyoko makan sate buahnya. Untuk yg muslim disini banyak jual makanan halal termasuk kedai kebab turki. Ga jauh dr ameyoko ada UNIQLO 3lantai, ABAB dlmnya ada Daiso . Disebrang Ameyoko ada Ueno Park dalamnya ada museum. Nginap sekitar ameyoko atau Ueno Park sgt strategis Krn kalo mau ke bandara cukup sekali kereta jurusan Narita. 😊😊
