II High Five II
I really learnt so much about photography on this trip, but I was beginning to learn about myself and the type of photography I love and enjoy.
Sitting watching kangaroos in the heavy fog was great, so peaceful. I learnt a lot about finding my style and some sound advice, and it’s not the first time I’ve heard it was to not be focused on it, it will find me.
My photography has grown in 2019, learning more about photography but about me. I feel like I’m taking less shots but they are stronger. But it could be just me.
With Spring upon us and ☀️ out on a more regular basis, spectacular pictures of our region have us planning multiple weekend getaways! Amazing @thewanderer365 🙌
The Blue Waterholes is a top campground in the Kosciuszko National Park. Take your time and marvel at the stunning limestone cliffs as you take the walking tracks through the Clarke and Nichols Gorges before reaching the clear blue water at the base. Just so you know, the water can be chilly, even on a hot day. Don't say we didn't warn you 😆 @visitsnowyvalleys

Into the abyss. When presented with dark tunnels and opaque water all the family agree: lead us on Daniel. Great fun clambering around these gorges driven on by the anticipation as to what might be around the next corner.
This walk was only an hour or so, but by the way we were breathing and the colour of our faces at the top you’d have thought we’d been walking for a lot longer. We are either extremely unfit or a large pizza 5 minutes prior maybe wasn’t the best pre work out snack 🍕😂
That first bite... 🍽🤤 Drawing heavily on Italian tradition, Locale Noosa offers a seasonally changing menu using the best in local produce and premium imported ingredients. Surrounded by lush gardens, Locale Noosa sits in a protected corner of Hastings Street just a few steps from the golden sands of Noosa Main Beach ☀️

Last week I went to Wollongong Harbour as there looked like a bit of a gap in the clouds over the mountain. After seeing some lightning down towards Port Kembla from the lighthouse, I decided to head over to cliff road and shoot this classic shot of the harbour, hoping the gap and heavy low clouds wouldn't deter the light too much. After standing there for around an hour and watching clouds light up all around me I got impatient and needed a toilet (note to self, don't drink 1L of water at the gym before going to take photos), I decided to pack up and head home. About 30m down the hill to my car, I looked to my left and saw the clouds light up exactly where I needed them to, took a few phone shots and decided it was good enough to head back up and set up again. As is always the case, as soon as the camera was in position the light faded, so I just shot and hoped there was enough left there to pull it out in post. I was so disappointed in myself that I hadn't even looked at the pictures until this afternoon, this is what I ended up with. Colours have been enhanced with every trick I know in Lightroom and it looked even better live. Hope you like it.
Also side note, I've signed up to do a 42km walk at the 65k for 65 roses walk in Sydney. Link is in bio if you would like to donate and I will tell you more about the walk in my next post.

Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything
Walking along the pier early in the morning when i saw this composition, it's a little blurry towards the back but the detail towards the front is good. Crazy to see just how many boats there are until you get there as this picture only shows a fraction of whats there.
Did you know : The Topaz glass that is used on the Opera house was custom made specifically for the Opera house and braught down from France. And the construction was started in 1957 and formally opened on 20th Oct 1974. (Source ,wikipedia)
For those who love big logs in their compositions, there is now a new one at the upper section of Empress Falls as well as the lower one. For those who hate logs in their compositions, I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news. If you have no opinion on logs in your photos, feel free to ignore this unnecessarily politicised caption.
A misty morning amongst pouring water at one of my all time favourite waterfalls.
Konnichiwa @visitdubbo! This Japanese dream is located in the Dubbo Regional Botanic Garden, aptly named Shoyoen, which means the 'strolling' garden. 🍃 So if you're after a super chilled day, look no further! A meander through this natural wonder is just what the doctor ordered. #NewSouthWales#GreatWesternPlains ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
