Here’s a sweetie.
These are some of my prints from my printmaking class from like a year ago. I haven’t really showed off my prints before but I thought these were pretty cute. The design isn’t totally mine; the front dog with the remote control is actually Mark Mothersbaugh’s from Devo. The whole background is me, though.
Also, on Devo, devolution and evolution, I have recently read (and tragically written an essay) on Charles Darwin and Freud’s idea on evolution and civilization. Something from that I found of importance is that evolution doesn’t mean progress and definitely doesn’t mean more civilized. Civilization as by Freud is often defined by less aggression which contrasts with Darwin’s analyzation of human evolution which is highly capitalistic, competitive and aggressive. For Darwin, the most evolved humans are the most capitalistic. So devolution seems more complicated than people just being violent.
