I had the privilege of wandering, driving and biking through this ancient stand of giant coast redwoods this summer, and it really is a magical place. 32 miles of pure LIFE within the natural elements of this insane planet! Put this on your bucket list, you will remember it forever...
Autumn carries more gold in its pocket than all the other seasons.
~ Jim Bishop, journalist
And, yup, that says ‘autumn’ even though much of New England is covered in snow! We had a debate at work today about the meteorological start of winter (December 1st) versus the astrological start of winter (December 21st). Personally, I’m astrological all the way—so be warned, I just might be posting those fall pics from the archives until December 21st! You ready?
Have a great rest of the week!
I could deny it if I liked. I could deny anything if I liked.

So today I’ll deny the fact that outside my window, it’s bitter cold and the world is quiet and blanketed in white. In fact, there’s SO much white that most schools in our state are closed, so it’s a cozy day off for me.
Here’s a shot from a few weeks ago when my world was a bit warmer—now back to bed with a good book and a good scroll through IG! Enjoy your day, my friends!
It is December and nobody asked if I was ready.
~ Sarah Kay, poet
It came rather quickly, don’t you think? December has promise in the air—and apparently snow in the air today! The anticipation of the holidays, that one moment when you notice that daylight has lengthened just a few minutes, and the excitement of a new year’s fresh start all bring about a sense of renewal and energy.
Nobody asked if I was ready, but I think I am. Are you?
Sorry I've been a bit disconnected lately. I still have lots of pics from my travels this years waiting to be filed or edited haha. This one was taken in July 2019, a lovely spot in the northumberland castle route 🤗 .
There is October in every November, and there is November in every December! All seasons melted in each other’s life!
~ Mehmet Murat Ildan, writer
In the mountains, on the beach, or anywhere in between, it’s that funny time of year when seasons overlap. Three days ago, the temperature hit 60 degrees Fahrenheit here. Tomorrow? 20 degrees! We’ve had sun, a warm spring rain, and the threat of snow—all in 72 hours. Wherever you are, whatever your climate, have a good day—it’s Friday eve, remember?!
