😊The best view comes after the hardest climb. 😊The art of being happy lies in the power of extracting happiness from common things. 😊Some of you think if you reach your target weight, the weight will keep going up and up. This is not true 😊It is healthy to express your feelings and emotions. You could do this by writing how you feel in a diary, poetry, art, exercising and self defense. 😊Whatever is worrying you right now, forget about it. Take a deep breath, stay positive and know that things will get better. Make your weekend a fantastic one!.🙌🙌🙌 #hardestclimb#extractinghappiness#targetweight#feelingsandemotions#deepbreath#healthybodyandmind
There use to be so many things I didn’t enjoy doing especially as a #stayathomemom and #wife ! 🤷♀️ #realtalk For instance, my husbands laundry. 😤BECAUSE he would wear shirt layers and then undress with the two shirts together and not separate them! It drove me crazy. 🤬 But then I had to tell myself, “this is what he does and will always do. All I can do is change my reaction. If he died tomorrow, I’d miss these little annoyances. I’d miss the smell of his cologne lingering on his shirt and I’d probably give anything to pull a t-shirt out of a sweater just one more time.” Now, I love doing his laundry. Double layered shirts and tucked up socks and all. It brings me happiness to clean his clothes and know they’re folded and put away nicely the way I want! This is just a small example of how we can change our mindset to extract happiness from simple, common, mundane things. Laundry is finally enjoyable for me. Vacuuming is enjoyable. Exercise is enjoyable. Grocery shopping is enjoyable. I don’t need to be living in the Galapagos sipping margaritas while my nanny educates my kids and my husband rubs my feet while I bask in my best selling novel success. 💆🏼♀️ Happiness can be found right here, right now, in the hustle and grind of creating your best life and living it with intention and joy 💖 #quoteoftheday#qotd#quotes#happiness#happy#personalgrowth#growth#change#personaldevelopment#attitude#mindset#beyourbestself#liveyourbestlife#extractinghappiness

It's the little things in life, right?
It is easier to extract joy from simple things when you have less and only what you love. Creating a happy home full of what you love is so fun when done by category instead of room by room.
Decluttering room by room is overwhelming and distracting with all that can be in one room! Gathering items one category at a time and keeping only what you love and need keeps you on task.
What about items you must keep, but don't love? Try to appreciate the items because they serve you. Care for these items and soon you may have gratitude for even the most mundane items. (Thanks toilet plunger! You save the day when my girls get carried away with the t.p.!) Once a category is curated, store these like items together to ensure they can be easily found and put away. Doing this helps to prevent buying duplicates too.
