We had a long weekend in Barcelona. And we had sooo many beautiful moments all together.
In this picture, we went for 1 day unplanned escape to La Molina, later more about on the blog.
Then on other days we went to the pool, ChristmaS shopping and receiving hubby's cousin with his family in the house.
We ate a lot, ride a lot, worked a lot, had fun a lot, well many things we did a lot.
What a magical Sunday! 🥰
We went to Birdworld with our lovely friends and their two gorgeous girls.
The little ones met with Father Christmas👶🏻👧🏼👧🏼 and got a present 🎁🎅💕
The adults had a mince pie with a glass of yummy punch 🍷😋

We have had a rough couple of weeks where the whole family has seemed to get unwell at some point! Thank goodness it has all passed and we can enjoy the festive season 🎄
This picture was taken on one of those mornings where you are totally knackered and dreading the weather outside. Opened our blinds to this glorious sunrise 😍 totally cheered our day up

Thinking back on the first six months of our around the world family trip feels like thinking back to a different lifetime.
I know that life with children always feels like it’s hurtling forwards at a million miles an hour while simultaneously taking a thousand years for a single hour to pass - add travel to that weird paradox and it’s absolutely bonkers!
It’s been so fun to think all the way back to the beginning of our trip (back when it was warm and sunny 🌞) and we were freshly working out how to do this thing (spoiler alert - still figuring it out 😘)
My latest post on our big world trip is up on the blog - the first six months, the link’s in my profile if you want to read about where we went and the lessons learned along the way ✨💕
#familyadventure // so grateful for the blue skies and fresh air after weeks of sinus headaches and climate anxiety in Sydney amid bush fire smoke. A friend once said to me “we live in paradise but we treat it like hell”. And perhaps it becomes how we treat it. @scottmorrisonmp please act now on climate.
Moments like this evening made me realize this stage of life - of having little kids -- will pass quickly.
They will need me less and less, and with each piece of independence they gain, I will gain some back too. Later on, all I'll have are memories of them as kids. They're not gonna be calling for me anymore and the thought saddened me -- it's so ironic right?
So, I just watched Kara and Andi eat and laugh. They're so sweet to each other, it makes my ♥️ smile.
Day 1️⃣3️⃣0️⃣: PUAKO, Hawai’i ➡️ The kids both started taking swim lessons soon after they learned to walk. All those lessons have paid off over the years! I’m so glad they are comfortable in the water. It makes things like snorkeling so much more fun for everyone.
One week to get my editing under wraps and smother these kids with love and attention and Christmassy crafts and then the wedding photography madness begins.
I'm trying to focus on being present and mindful otherwise the anxiety for the future totally robs me of the joy of the moment.

Yesterday's pit stop 🚗 from Krabi to Phuket.
Dairy Hut Farm is situated in Phang Nga, Thailand. Think you haven't heard of this province? Think, James Bond island 😉 yes, now you know it!
Lovely sunny weather, we spent over an hour there!

The look on their faces everytime a new wave comes into view ❤️ Also the look on our faces as we turn the last corner to the @oceanvillage cabins each year! 😉 This is our 4th year annual winter vacation in here and we couldn’t imagine it any other way 😍
Every year we make a trip to The Greenbrier. It's one of our family traditions. We see Santa, sit in the red char, and shop. I always get an ornament.this year we also went ice skating. It was little mans first time! He loved it!
They didn't have the poinsettia tree this year.
I didn't get to get an ornament this year 😭 they sold out. We have never gone this early in the month, so I asked if they didn't order enough. Normally it's a large stack on the table right before Christmas. I guess I pissed her off because she became very rude! Making a comment about how they have had to make multiple orders already this year... It's only the 8th of December. So hubby asked what they looked like. She said a wreath with The Greenbrier and a horse pulling a slay. I asked if she was sure because I think that was last year's. Then she was really irritated telling me I was wrong. Well at that point she plucked a nerve so I replied it was ok they just did a small order this year because they never sell them all. She had something smart to say. So I just replied that they had used the same ornament in a row in the past. She also said that was not true but for two years it was the spring house.
Might be time for a new tradition.
Happy Holidays from The Ciccarelli’s! We are extra thankful for this Holiday season that we get to spend with family and friends in our hometown. Thank you @andreaorbeck for the fun holiday party and for bringing Santa to us! Because those mall lines are ridiculous so I don’t ever go and I think we have one pic with Santa ever. 🤷♀️😆 So this was such a special treat!! 🎉❤️ #tistheseason#santaclaus#mrsclaus#californialove#familyadventure

Because posting on a Friday night is supposedly a big no-no, but I’m going to get your thumbs to double tap with this one, I just know it. Look at Cheeky Malfoy and do you see Hermione admiring Harry? Melts my heart how much she loves him. .
Would you ever visit the Glenfinnan Viaduct if you went to Scotland? I’ve got all you need to know about getting there, on the blog.

A nd if Clementine sitting up there gives you a bit of a panic attack, then you feel me. .
The boys are already planning to come back early next year for a boys weekend away. I’m going to be a little jealous of them, I won’t lie. But also kind of happy to have a few days at home with just my girls. Does anyone else ever split up trips with their kids? .
I’m hoping it’s a sweet weekend for everyone. And you better believe the boys are using WANDERING25 to take $25 off of their booking. Feel free to do the same! .
Also, we packed three days worth of clothes and the kids never took off their mushroom prints from @winterwaterfactory from now on, I’ll leave all of their other clothes at home. Hosted and gifted and always feeling so blessed for all of it.
We left our foggy sunrise at Cadillac and headed around the island to Jordan Pond to see The Bubbles. North and South Bubble were surrounded by beautiful clouds and were the perfect ending to our time in Acadia!
Would you have called those mountains bubbles? 🤔 .
We were gifted a few days away in the woods, a retreat to put the phones in a box in the cabin and just get away. All six of us squeezing into a giant bunk bed and waking up to our view of the woods is one of the best little ways to end this year. @getawayhouse has locations throughout the US, including Dallas, Atlanta, Boston, New York and Portland. If you’re able to get away to one, I highly recommend it. @getawayhouse has kindly offered you the code of WANDERING25 for $25 off of your own booking. .
Which location is nearest to you?

Y’all need to staaaahp! We can’t even begin to tell you how much we love you!🌟
A year ago, we never could have imagined that anyone (besides all of the people we were abandoning back home 😬) would want have an interest in what was going on in our life.🌟
Instagram has brought such an amazing opportunity for us to meet fellow travelers and document our life. We love this little IG family that we have here.🌟
It’s a weird thing to thank someone for caring about you enough to follow you on IG, but for us it’s about supporting us on this scary and awesome journey we are on. So, THANK YOU!🌟
We feel so loved and are so grateful for every single 10 thousand of you!

Have you gone on a date lately? 😘 Before kids, every night was date night. After kids, Ben gave me the best Christmas gift ever by finding a reliable babysitter so we could still have date nights.
Once we started traveling, dates got trickier but we still did our research, asked around, and found babysitters in most of the locations we visited so we could have a handful of dates while we traveled.
This photo, though, was one of my favorite dates ever. We opted for a day-date so we could take a super sketchy, steep hike down to the lake with our paddle board on our back. We had a picnic on a sunny boulder and spent the afternoon climbing rocks and paddling around. And, since we’re old, we made sure we didn’t stay out past our bedtime 👵🏻 👴🏼
Check the link in our BIO for a video 🎥we made of this epic Day Date!
So, tell us in the comments about your favorite date lately!

Is it ever easy to take off and travel with a baby? No, but we do it anyways to keep pushing out of our comfort zone. We promised with baby we would keep our desire to travel, hike, climb and see the world alive. Maple has been to 8 National Parks in her 9 months so far, and many more to go. One thing I have learned so far- pack everything they “might” need cause you’ll probably need it!

I loathe intros. I love reading them, but I despise writing them. Anything that forces me to take an actual look at who I am as a person, I avoid. Oh, and to write about it? Nah, I’m just not a fan.
But I have a few new followers and many of you inquire about what led me here and why, so I felt it was apropos to suck it up and share a little about the voice behind the “Dollops.” I’m Tiffany, aka Tiffy, aka Tiff. I answer to all three. I’m 34 and live in the great state of Texas with my husband, whom I affectionately call “Hammy,” and my two boys, Aidan and Josiah, both on the Autism Spectrum. I’m a Doctoral student and I’m wondering if I am a bit over my head here.
Aidan was diagnosed at the age of 17 months with “classical autism,” before labels. Jojo was diagnosed at 6 years with Level 2 Autism. They both have comorbid conditions that are made more complicated by Autism, so I tend to focus more on Autism primarily in my posts.
I was aware of Autism prior to the birth of my firstborn as I was formally diagnosed with Asperger's at the age of 18, though it was mentioned as a possibility at age 16.
I do not like to talk about it much. I am becoming more comfortable in my truth so I will do my best to share my own personal experiences with sharing the same diagnostic umbrella as my children.
I struggle, often. Words come easier in forms other than verbal for me, but through my blogging I am finding it easier to share outside of my preferred method of writing.
I struggle, but I view my issues as less of an obstacle to surviving a world not equipped for minds that operate like mine. My kids are priority, because their struggles can very well lead them to relying on supports outside of their parents for the duration of their lives.
And so, I focus largely on their Autism, not my own. But writing is my therapy. I save myself by putting it on paper. Then I started to share on Facebook, I saw I helped others and was urged to start blogging, and thus “2 Dollops of Autism” was born.
My aim with this is to share our experiences but also provide invaluable information that can hopefully help you and yours on your journey as well.
And, uh, that’s all, folks!

Bis gestern wusste ich gar nicht, dass das Schloss Wildegg auch einen Weihnachtsmärt hat. Ein Besuch, auch mit Kindern, lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.
