🇸🇪 SCHWEDEN 🇸🇪

You never realize how much something holds value you to you until you lose it. 💙
Out of everything I’ve taken out of this whole experience is appreciation. I have learned to appreciate the job that I complain so much about, that I still have and I’m still getting paid for. 👩🏻💻 My California family, for without them I would not be able to handle this on my own and in feeling like I’m all alone here, I can always count on them. 💛 For living every day as if there were no tomorrow, for what we are currently experience solidifies that as a possibility. 🏔 For the roof over my head, as some people don’t have even that. And for the opportunity to travel and experience this great big world and realizing how much the outdoors means to us having gone so long without exploring it. 🌲
What have you learn to appreciate more since the quarantine? ⬇️
It’s fine. We’re fine. Everything is fine. We’re not starting to crack or anything! No matter your situation during this time period, feel lucky you’re not a little brother with nowhere to hide, with a big sister armed with lip gloss who’s not afraid to use it. Definitely need to leverage this into a beauty blog so we can pay for his future therapy bills! #fierce#everythingisfine

🚲 Paddling my way through this season. ⠀
🌎 Riding a bike is different than driving a car. It takes a little more effort, kind of like the change this pandemic has forced on us 🙈. ⠀
❤️ A little more effort to stay connected with the outside world.⠀
A little more effort to resist the fear.⠀
A little more effort to sort through priorities and new rhythms.⠀
👊🏻 Gonna keep riding through all the changes.
MOVING DAY! 📦📦📦
We are finally packing up and moving to Texas! Thank you @MayflowerMovingCompany for making this SO EASY and STRESS FREE!
I was able to get a moving quote from my phone with their Virtual Survey App – so quick and easy!
Using a professional moving company like Mayflower has saved us so much time, and has allowed me more time to spend with the kids. They even moved our Jeep so we could all drive to Texas together!
Everything has been sooo smooth considering how stressful moving can be! I completely trusted the crew members and they were so respectful and professional the entire time! #moving#movingcompany#movingday#sponsored

This man right here is truly inspiring! This two time Paralympian finished his studies in medicine in 2018 and combined his passion for table tennis with medicine and worked in Whittington Hospital in London to fight for the coronavirus epidemic! This man truly deserves a round of applause! #DREQA
@uncoverinsight ~ No one is expecting you to have the perfect plan, to be a perfect parent, or even to be the greatest homeschool teacher - all you can do is try your best to be present for your kids. Focus on one day at a time and believe in your ability to handle this. But, with no clear ending of #covid_19 in sight and growing memes about the new homeschooling forced on thousands of unprepared families around the world, we want to remind you that you are not in this alone. Today I did a Zoom class with my toddlers and we made Bunny Buns. This is an Easter tradition for me and my girls and brought back memories of the first time my biggest and I made them. Check out my story for pictures and DM me if you want the recipe. Toddler approved!

🇺🇸 On a positive note, while we are doing our part to #stayathome , flowers 🌸 like these in Florence, and nature around the world are restoring themselves.
I miss the mountains 🏔 and the beautiful spring flowers.
What do you miss the most?
We’re pretty outdoorsy and love it! We’ve been learning about taking care of the planet which in turn means taking care of ourselves. Lately, when we’ve been out in nature we’ve been finding more and more trash. So much plastic and wrappers. We all of a sudden without thinking much of it have just been picking up what we can. The boys talk about it a lot and have been wanting to learn more about what we can do to help 😊 A Plastic Ocean on Netflix is an excellent film and highly recommend watching it. 👍. Right here in this photo there’s a couple of crevices in the rocks and the boys saw water bottles thrown away. They automatically said they were going to grab the ones they could easily grab and take them with us on our hike back down to put in our recycling bin at home. It may not be much but every bit helps. Most importantly is that they care and take action to try to make a positive impact. Lead by example 🙌 They’re the #gamechangers ! #compassionateliving#veganforeverything ✨ ✨
Now more than ever, I’m so grateful I said yes to every opportunity to travel 💖 Do I get notes from the truancy office every year?! You betcha
Do I cringe every time I get one, you betcha! But now that I’m my kid’s (temporary) teacher, I can say with confidence my kids learn as much traveling as they do in class
I feel like times like now we can sit back and reflect on what we want our life to look like in the future. And I know I want mine to include even more travel
Even if it’s exhausting
Even if the kids don’t behave the best
Even if the flights are long. And my kids fight
It’s ALL worth it because seeing the world opens our eyes to new people, new foods, new cultures & peoples
Those are some of the experiences I cherish the most with my family & I can’t wait to do again
And I’m so eternally grateful we got to go on this #DisneyCreators trip just a few weeks before we were quarantined at home 💖 #disneycruiselife

I fell down a rabbit hole of photos this week. 💛 And then I realized it's been close to a year since we left Southern California. These years have flown by way too fast.
When we left home on this wild ride our plan was to do two years and then we would go back home to Oregon and be done with traveling. That two years is coming up in June and I can say for certain we won't be going home... yet. It's sad and happy all at the same time. We miss our people but we also want to take advantage of our time on the road, because I know it won't last forever.
I don't think we're ready to settle just yet. We still have goals and plans and places to see. If you're living it now, you know exactly what I mean. And if you're still on the fence, jump, it'll be worth it. Right travel fams? 🚐✌️
Nok ei morsom helg er over 😂
A #diy bird feeder idea from the little feral F’s #bushschool for #kidsinconfinement ...this is a great project because watching nature is very healing . . 🍊1. Eat a grapefruit & partially dry the skins . . 🍊2. Poke 3 or 4 holes in the skin around the rim to thread a string through - try balance it & add couple of holes in bottom for drainage. . 🍊3. Fill the peel with bird goodies and hang your feeder in a tree / branch where you can watch it. . 🍊4. BEST part... watching birds needs silence & requires sitting still... see how long this lasts #naturaltv ! If you have a bird book, get the kids involved in identifying who’s coming in. . 🐧🐦 Live BIG mudlings, even in #isolation

We just went through a military check point in northeastern Baja and had to ask the man who inspected our camper to wear gloves (that we provided). No one at the checkpoint is wearing gloves or masks despite interacting with every vehicle that passes. As he was inspecting our camper I asked about what he thought of the virus. He laughed and said it hasn’t gotten to them (note this is at a checkpoint between two areas where there are over 60 confirmed cases). We have asked over a dozen people— gas station attendants, grocery store clerks, & military folks at the checkpoints— over the last couple days what they think of the virus and all but one dismissed the potential dangers of it— one guy said “I don’t believe it’s an actual thing...” another said “the US is blowing this out of proportion” another said “because I live in a remote area it won’t effect me” (note this was the owner of a store on rt 1) another [military checkpoint] went on in great lengths talking about how no doctors, military or police are infected and they are the ones in most contact with people from other countries. With Semana Santa right around the corner— one of the most significant and celebrated holidays in Mexico— families will undoubtably travel far and wide, and if the US, Italy, China or France provide any indication of how fast this virus travels, the impact on Baja could be catastrophic. My heart is heavy as we near the border & make our way to the house Owen grew up in in upstate NY. I sure as hope that we are over-reacting.
Be safe. Be reasonable. Be kind.

Some already know, but SURPRISE ! We are ditchin the sticks and bricks life for now. This summer isn’t going to look exactly like we planned with the travel restrictions but we are so excited!
