What is so great about bamboo Muslin Blankets?
🌸 Due to their unique characteristics, you can wrap up small babies in a “cocoon” so that they feel safe, calm down and sleep in peace.
🌸 They can be used during hot days –regulatory properties of this fabric in hot weather keeps a temperature lower by 2 degrees.
🌸 They prevent sunstroke and skin cancer due to the bamboo’s ability to absorb UV rays.
🌸 They can be used as a sheet on colder days, as the healing properties of the fabric protect the skin and allows for better sleep.
I struggled at first coming away. We had been so strict with ourselves at home during lockdown that it felt too frivolous. Even though restrictions said we now could, part of me felt like it was still too soon. The last six months have been a mixed bag of emotions. I’ve loved having P home...she and Iz have become even closer. It’s been such a special time in that sense. Just being able to watch them play and watch their bond grow even stronger has been a beautiful thing. But like many I’ve had moments where the anxiety and fear was just too much. That dark cloud was creeping back in, I was stretching myself too far. Looking after my family, my home, homeschooling, missing my friends and family. Trying my best to do what was morally right for the world and for my family. Being scared in such an uncertain time. All while putting on a brave face and pretending I was ok and it was all ok really for my girls’ sake. I wasn’t in a good place. But it’s ok to feel. I think low moods and anxiety are something I’ll always struggle with at times and especially in times of uncertainty whether worldwide or personal. But I’ve learnt that it always passes. Coming here was like stepping into a world unaffected by the pandemic and I didn’t like it at first but I definitely needed it.
Allscott Meads will enhance the Shropshire countryside, we promise.
Our commitment from the start has been to transform the abandoned Sugar Beet Factory into a place where nature meets nurture and modern-day living thrives alongside local wildlife.
From the timber frames we’re using, to the ecologists we’re working with, and the trees, flowers, and shrubbery we’re planting. Our commitment to maintaining, and enhancing, the Shropshire heritage, has always been at the forefront of our development.
Mud-caked and happy. Every day. This is summer. This is our happy place 🌞
For those asking how I keep their clothes clean —
☀️ I make sure they’re wearing something durable and easy to clean such as bathing suits or linen
☀️ If there are bad stains I’ll use a small toothbrush dipped in detergent and scrub the stains. Then I’ll let it sit until I’m ready to wash a load
☀️ Thrifted clothes are great home clothes. They are cheap so I don’t have to worry too much about them getting dirty
☀️ Dirt is dirt. It looks bad but it doesn’t leave stains. Sand is also a great, cleaner alternative
☀️ Try to let go and just let them get messy! A messy childhood is great childhood 🙌🏻
