just a pretty picture of a pretty place. (figured I was overdue for a photo without me in it 🤷🏼♀️)⠀
We’re making our way to our first real stop today and I am SO excited. The last couple days have been a lot of driving but also very relaxing as we really had no worries besides to get from A to B. Now it’s back to photos and exploring and creating (which really is my favorite ☺️).⠀
If you have any recommendations for Noosa, Brisbane, or Gold Coast, drop em below! 😘
Abaco Skiff Co builds a unique style boat that fits the high-end niche market of the most demanding angler. Although it’s a Panga style hull, it is not your standard Panga boat. You can purchase a highly finished base boat or customize it with an array of electronics, shallow water anchors, trolling motors and more.
"How happy we might be, if only we could find the Treasure, of which the Gospel tells us- all else would seem to us nothing. How infinite it is! The more a person works and searches in it, the greater the riches that they will discover."- Lawrence
Stormy rainbow goodness 🌧️🌈
We're having some wild weather in Connecticut right now and I went running yesterday with some ominous clouds on the horizon.
Flash forward to me walking home in a light drizzle after watching the sunset and I spy this RAINBOW at the end of my street. HULLO.
My phone camera doesn't do it justice, but the mix of storm clouds and the sun setting created this wild array of color. Absolutely gorgeous. And I didn't have a great run, so this cheered me up quite a bit 😊🌈

Hermosa, lunática y indescifrable.
Barcellona, la città delle bolle
Somebody said that it couldn’t be done But he with a chuckle replied
That "maybe it couldn't," but he would be one .
Who wouldn't say so till he'd tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face.
If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn’t be done, and he did it!
Somebody scoffed: "Oh, you’ll never do that; At least no one ever has done it;"
But he took off his coat and he took off his hat And the first thing we knew he'd begun it.
With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin, Without any doubting or quiddit,
He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn't be done, and he did it.
There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done, There are thousands to prophesy failure,
There are thousands to point out to you one by one, The dangers that wait to assail you.
But just buckle in with a bit of a grin, Just take off your coat and go to it;
Just start in to sing as you tackle the thing That "cannot be done," and you'll do

"Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone … Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.” Romans 12:17-18, 21
This is so hard right? Like when you find out someone has been spreading lies about you in order to make themselves look better. A guy cuts you off in traffic. Someone teases your child at school?
In a world that says I should do what’s best for myself, Paul’s command sounds almost impossible. When someone hurts me deeply, Paul says to show grace instead of giving them what they deserve.
Why are we told to forgive those who do evil against us? First, forgiveness may break a cycle of retaliation and lead to mutual reconciliation. Second, it may bring contrition on the other person’s part. Finally, repaying evil for evil hurts me just as much as it hurts my enemy. Even if the person acting against me never repents, forgiving them will free me of a heavy load of bitterness.
Forgiveness doesn’t mean the hurt goes away. Scars often stay with us. After all, even Christ still had the nail wounds in his hands. Forgiveness means we no longer shoulder the burden.
Lord, I admit my tendency to strike back, to return evil with evil. Forgive me. Help me to remember Your love and grace for me to do good to others, even those who hurt me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
