I’m super excited today. First off, we didn’t have school today so that’s a dream in and of itself. I also had a call with my coach today and I’m so excited for what is coming next! The last thing is, after literally hours of research I finally found a mindful food program that I think I’m going to love! All the materials should be here by the end of this week and I’m so happy. For now, I will watch the videos while I clean up my disaster of a kitchen 😂
It is SO COLD outside and this morning I was sitting on the couch wrapped in a blanket shivering and I decided that the only way I was going to get to a comfy temperature would be to do my workout 😂 ⠀
These moves are super challenging and are guaranteed to make me sore! Do each of these for 90 seconds each and then do it again!!! ⠀
💥 Move 1: 90 degree crunch- make sure your keep your elbows and knees at a 90 degree angle⠀
💥 Move 2: Jackknives- keep your lower back glued to the floor! If it comes up that means you’re going too low⠀
💥 Move 3: Russian Twists- keep those elbows locked in to your sides! ⠀
💥 Move 4: Plank Jacks & Shoulder touch- try to keep your hips as still as possible ⠀
Make sure you’re using a challenging weight! If you feel like you can get through all the reps easily, then you’re not using the right weight. ⠀

Today my baby is 1! 💗
I am exactly 1 year post partum & this is where I’m at.
I know that I’m not back to my pre 2 pregnancies ago waist or that I don’t have shredded sculpted abs.
I know that many mums are here at 6 months pp, that IG MODELS are rocking those sculpted tums in half this time & that celebs are just pinging into shape.
However this is my reality.
I cling onto fat when I’m feeding.
I don’t lose weight easily.
I still have a shelf & food is a constant battle.
And I know this is a reality for so many other mums too. Ones that beat themselves up over what they see in the mirror, obsess over the perfect bodies they see in social media even though they know they shouldn’t. Ones that wish they could just cut the fat off & sink into a spiral of binge eating & lose all self worth.
I’m saying to you mamas, don’t give up, I believe in you.
Remember this is a lifestyle, a journey & Rome was not built in a day.
Every day of staying strong & moving our bodies & taking care over what we eat is progress & over time you will reap the rewards for your consistency, hard work & determination.
Has the year not started quite as you’d planned?? When we decide to set our resolutions we have high expectations of what we will achieve!
We go into it full steam ahead, no cutting corners, no half measures, it’s all or nothing!
A few days later it all crumbles around us.... so we give up & we are back to square one.
You aren’t alone!! It’s not that you shouldn’t set this goal of getting fitter & healthier, that you shouldn’t cut out junk food, that you shouldn’t increase your exercise!!
However you should take smaller steps towards this... It’s a lot to jump from no exercise to 5 days.
It’s a lot to go from unhealthy snacks to eating only ‘chicken, broccoli & rice’. You can’t just expect to go from getting up at 7am each day to setting the alarm for 5, working out then facing the day with depleted energy from a dramatic cut in food.
By Day 3 you are shattered & start to snooze the alarm, miss the workout on day 4 so reach for that chocolate bar....
You see where I’m going with this?
It doesn’t have to be like this. You can fit 1 small workout easily into your day, eat more of the foods you want whilst loosing weight & have the support of a coach & an amazing virtual community going through the same motions to hold you accountable & motivate you!
I cried when I tried on my favorite pants today.
I tearfully went into Codys room and told him I would have to buy dress pants for tomorrow because none of mine (except for two pairs of jeans and leggings) fit right now. And i don’t mean like squeeze into fit, I literally can’t button pants I wore five months ago.
It’s was a wake up call. I don’t feel confident, happy, or healthy. I felt all three in this photo from the summer and I miss that.
I hadn’t shared this before, but when I weighed myself at the beginning of my reset, I was 15 pounds heavier than the last time I weighed myself (end of September). I did more than indulge over the holidays.
I binged sweets, ate food simply because it was there, ignored hunger cues that said I was full for more pizza, got food I didn’t want because my friends were . . . In short, I didn’t take care of myself.
So today I’m getting rid of the oversized house shirts I’ve been hiding in for months and switching them out for clothes that fit so I can honestly see myself.
I’m focusing on what I need to change: only eating what I want to eat, not snacking because I’m bored, drinking enough water, and when this reset is done I’m committing to moving my body 4-6 days a week — even if it’s just a walk around the park.
I was my happiest when I was my healthiest. I don’t think that was an accident.

You can either honor your mood or honor your commitment. You will always feel like not doing something.
Mind. Freaking. Blown.
When I read this I knew this has to be my 2020 mood. Because in 2019, I honored my mood way too much instead of honoring my commitments.
I found myself doing that today, too. I could have squeezed in some work earlier today- but I didn’t because I wasn’t feeling it.
I honored my mood, not my commitment.
Y’all, this is alright sometimes. But when we make it a frequent habit, that’s when we have set backs and fail to achieve our goals.
Not all who wander are lost. Some are just looking for coffee 🤷🏻♀️😍☕️

2020: YOUR BOSS BRIDE RESOLUTIONS
1. I Promise to Love My “Work In Progress” - So you’re not where you want to be. Guess what? Most of us aren’t, but that doesn’t mean we can’t love ourselves (and our curves) on the way to our big goals. As a Boss Bride, we’re all about desire + action - negativity = results. Talking negatively to yourself isn’t going to get you anywhere, but working for it will. Stop using all that energy with bringing yourself down when you could be using it to get excited to work towards your incredible goals!
2. I Promise to Be Nice to My Fiancé (Even When He Waits Until the Month-Of to Pick His Suit Out) - We’re going to give it to you straight - he probably doesn’t care about the flowers or the color of the tablecloths or how many flower girls you’re going to have. AND THAT’S A GOOD THING. He’s excited to marry YOU, regardless of if you have daisies or anemones, and that’s what really matters. So give the guy a break. Give him small tasks that he enjoys, and when you need to vent, preface it with “I don’t need you to speak, I just need you to listen”. Remember why you love him and leave the flower arrangements up to your bride tribe.
3. I Promise to Not Sweat the Small Stuff - No one is going to notice if the bows aren’t perfectly tied on the favors or if the caterer you booked is your second choice. Spend your time, money and your energy on the stuff that really matters and when in doubt, repeat after us, “The bows on my favors do not affect the love we’re celebrating and won’t ruin the rest of my happily-every-after life”. (PS- no one takes the favors anyways)
4. I Promise to Not Forget to Breathe - No one needs you passing out or having an anxiety attack, so when you’re feeling overwhelmed, don’t forget to take a hot second to inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth and remind yourself that life is beautiful, even if your centerpiece is not. We like to do this for 10 breaths every morning and night to reduce cortisol (aka fat retention) and get zenned out.
This is YOUR year, babe! Let’s make it a hot one.

Honestly - if you would have told me that I would have fallen in love with a barre inspired program using the back of a chair and 2 lb weights I would have laughed.
Balance * Dance * Coordination
Aren’t my things but I kid you not this may be my new all time favorite program that I have done in 4 years. The low impact is exactly what my body needs right now and the burn zones for 8 counts are NO joke. .

These four moves were my favs of today’s workout! ⠀
Do each of these for 1 minute each and when you finish, start over! Make sure to have as quick of transitions in between moves as possible 🤗⠀
Start each workout at a slower pace for the first 15 seconds and then GO HAM for the last 45 seconds! Go as fast as you can while still keeping form so you stay safe from hurting yourself! ⠀
If you feel like you can go super super fast in any of these moves, then puhlease grab heavier weights. Remember how I always say that if you feel like you can’t finish the reps then you have the right weights? Good! This is more about using heavier weights than speed. ⠀

Sådan lød samtalen mellem L❤️ og jeg igår, da jeg hjalp hende med at komme i tøjet. Jeg har tænkt meget over samtalen siden. Jeg HADER den uønskede hårvækst, der fulgte med pcos diagnosen.. Jeg har så tit grædt, følt mig forkert og håbet inderligt på, at ingen ville lægge mærke til det.. I sommers sad jeg i mine forældres fortelt på campingpladsen, da en anden campist spørger mig, om jeg har tabt lidt hår på brystkassen.. Jeg forsøgte at reagere afslappet, og sagde med et grin: "nej, de sidder desværre fast".. Siden har jeg tænkt meget over hvad for noget tøj jeg har på. Dækker det nok, så hårene ikke kan ses? Vil jeg nogensinde blive tilfreds med mig selv? Måske opnår jeg drømmevægten, men vil jeg nogensinde føle mig smuk med min uønskede hårvækst? Hårene i ansigtet har jeg forsøgt at skjule ved at vokse dem, eller bruge min epilator - begge dele temmelig smertefulde.. Men det skal gøres.. I hvert fald hvis ingen skal se dem.. Jeg forsøger at indfinde mig med, at jeg nok ender med at skulle leve med den uønskede hårvækst resten af mit liv.. Jeg blev for nogle år siden henvist af lægen til en klinik i Århus, der skulle forsøge at fjerne hårvæksten med laser. De sagde på forhånd, at de kun ville kunne fjerne de sorte hår. Desværre for mig, var ikke alle hårene sorte.. Det er dog som om, de er blevet mørkere med årene.. Anyways, dette er et emne, der fylder rigtig meget for mig. Jeg bliver fyldt med usikkerhed og følelsen af, at jeg ikke er en rigtig kvinde. Men hvad er en rigtig kvinde egentligt? Og hvem skal egentligt bestemme, hvad kriterierne er, for at være en rigtig kvinde? Synes jeg det er pinligt, at jeg har uønsket hårvækst? Ja! Ville jeg ønske, at jeg kunne leve et liv uden? Helt sikkert! Men sagen er den, at jeg ikke kan gøre noget ved det, og i stedet for at skjule det og gå i frygten for, at folk en dag vil opdage det, har jeg besluttet mig for at dele.

Something I cannot stress enough.
I never understood why I struggled to stay consistent. I was defeated from constantly starting and stopping. Falling off the band wagon. Starving and restricting myself
NOTHING about that was enjoyable. I was going through the motions for all the WRONG reasons. My goals were not aligned and all I could focus on was to loose weight and be skinny
The day when I decided to refocus my energy and to ENJOY the good I was doing for my body was when everything changed. I stopped stressing over being a certain weight, I started focusing on how I felt, and whatever wasn’t bringing me JOY - bye bye 👋
Wherever you are, whatever your goals may be - if you’re not ENJOYING every moment of it, if it’s seeming like a chore and bringing you nothing but stress. STOP! Refocus, realign, and do what sparks your soul
Trust the process
Enjoy the journey
And never give up

It’s Officially Super Weekend!!
I know that might not mean much to some of you, but it’s our health & fitness businesses event they put on quarterly. .
Sadly I had to skip today’s event because my puppy needs me home this weekend post surgery #neuteredpup .......However I will be living vicariously through my team who gets to be there today! .
So I thought I’d share a little throw back from November’s event where I got to meet the trainer who did it ALL for me!! .
Autumn Calabrese was my trainer for the first ever program I did in my tiny apartments living room! In just 21 days she taught me how to train my body in a way the treadmill and elliptical NEVER did and to eat according to portion control. I NEVER felt deprived when I followed her program for those 21 days and I ended up losing 5lbs and a total of 5 inches again in just 21 days!! She is by far my favorite trainer so when I heard she was coming to Maine in November I HAD to be there to have the opportunity to get a picture with her. She is just the absolute cutest and also knows how to kick your butt in only 30 minutes a day!! .
I’m so glad that in 2016 I decided to give these at home workouts a chance. I absolutely feel in love with taking care of myself and I knew that I wanted to pay it forward so others could experience just how amazing this opportunity really is! .
I never imagined that I would be able to stand beside someone I give so much credit for changing my perspective on how to take care of myself for 30 minutes a day! .
I never knew I could be where I am today if it wasn’t for this opportunity I got from my friend sharing these at home workouts with me!! .
Don’t be scared to take the first step because you never know how life changing it really can be!! @autumncalabrese .

Is there anything better than Chillin on the weekend? We don't think so either!
Today was a crazy day. Crazy day at work. Had errands to run after work. Had to fit a workout in before going to my cousins. Plus work on wedding planning. 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ .
But one thing stuck out to be in my personal development that I am going to use moving forward. Instead of saying “I can’t” this year, I will replace them sentence with “I won’t.” Then, it will really show if I am not capable of doing it versus just making excuses for myself and putting me that much farther behind my goals. .
Today I could have said “I can’t workout before going over my cousins.” Using my thought process and changing that sentence to “I won’t workout before going to my cousins” actually motivated me to WANT to workout and prove myself wrong. .
May be a little be of reverse psychology, but try using that next time you feel yourself making a excuse for something you want to do to better yourself. .

And by almost I mean I was fighting back tears so I didn’t mess up my make up lol. .
With how I’ve been doing with my workouts and getting my nutrition back to where I needs to be the scale has been slow to move. After being 352 pounds, I still have a love hate relationship with the stupid thing. .
However, I am a home health nurse and do not have to wear scrubs to work. So I wear “regular clothes” but most of my clothes are too loose and I am constantly pulling at them. (Good problem to have? Yes! However, super annoying!) so I went to see if I could find some pants for work. I picked up 3 different styles and sizes. .
I didn’t like how the jeggings felt so I didn’t even put them on all the way, the inside texture was not soft. .
So I tried the other pairs on. I tried on the 18 first because I just KNEW it was going to be a 𝑻𝑰𝑮𝑯𝑻 fit. Put them on buttoned and zipped...no problem. 😳🤯 what?! That can’t be right! I haven’t been this pant size since high school! .
The second size, was a size 16, nope. No way THESE are going to fit...and they did!!! Yes they have stretch in them and different companies pants fit differently, but I don’t care! Lol i kept telling myself I was going to be a size 16/18 for the wedding. And here I am, 10 months out, and there! .
I get how hard this whole “weight loss” thing is. But here’s what happened to me. When I stopped focusing on being skinny (skinnier) and started focusing on being 𝙷𝙴𝙰𝙻𝚃𝙷𝙸𝙴𝚁, the weight literally started to fall off. .
Was it easy? No. Was it overnight? Hell no. Was I starving myself or feeling hungry all the time? You bet your ass I wasn’t! .
I decided to invest in the vision of myself. We spend so much on other stuff and that’s exactly what it is. Stuff. Investing in your health is not only a smart decision, but it helps in the long run. .

This week has been CRAZY at work, but I wanted to make sure to share my results from the 3 day refresh I just did this past weekend... .
This is my third time doing the refresh and I LOVE it because it’s not a “cleanse” but a reset button for your mind and body.
