Split squats to kick off our Tuesday workout!
This is a great exercise to work the quads and the glutes whilst also using your core to help to stabilise yourself and to control the movement. Performing single leg exercises is also great for identifying and correcting muscular imbalances.

That was totally going through my head this morning. I felt like a failure in 5 mins. ⠀
But I thought back to the days & weeks that I was so sick that I wasn’t physically able to work out. Once I was healed after surgery I vowed to myself to keep going!⠀
It was a choice to make. ⠀
Quit like I have done for so many years or keep going at a modified pace!⠀
You don’t have to be perfect....⠀
Trust me I’m far from it!!⠀
Just try to be better than yesterday!!!⠀

#latepost from yesterday morning! Can’t believe I’m starting week 4 of T20... such a big step for me. I had my yearly physical yesterday and my doctor was so proud of all my numbers and my weight loss. She was super impressed! It felt good to be recognized by someone I don’t see every day. 👏🏻
Its fast approaching that time of year for New Years resolutions & gyms & health food stores packed full...
Most of the time the when asking someone on their reason for starting an exercise routine or eating plan it comes down to what can be seen: weight loss or gain.
The people that stick to their plans the longest however will often tell you that the benefits they feel are way beyond outer appearance 😊 this is a true life change, when we feel good we carry on doing something because who doesnt want to feel good!? The iceberg of health reminds us that whilst what we see is important, it is because it also represents the invisible benefits of good health .

Why do we sometimes feel weaker in the gym?
We all have those days when our performance is down in the gym and the weights just feel heavier than normal. Although this can be frustrating there are some factors which could be affecting this including:
✔️Hydration: Ensuring we’re adequately hydrated throughout the day will have a massive impact on our workout
✔️Sleep: Aiming for around 7-9 hours of sleep a night will enable us to push further with every rep
✔️Nutrition: being consistent with our calorie intake each day will prevent it negatively impacting our performance
✔️Recovery: planning & incorporating the right training strategies will prevent burnout so we can continue to progress
✔️Mental Stress: Managing our daily stress levels will help us to recharge & save our energy for our workouts

Klingt für die meisten wahrscheinlich nicht sonderlich viel, aber für mich ist es ein Erfolg 💪🏼 vor ein paar Wochen war mir die Langhantel allein schon zu viel 😅 Lasst euch bei dem Gewicht nie von Anderen beeinflussen - macht einfach das was sich für euch gut anfühlt!
