DAY 7!!!!!! Completely my FIRST FULL WEEK! I am beyond proud of myself! I took a lot to do 7 days in a row but they say the first week is the hardest! 23 days to go! I KNOW that I got this!
SN: I start a new job tomorrow so my schedule is about to be all twisted around. Excited and nervous! .
This is something I remind 🤔 myself of when I don't feel like I'm moving in the right direction 😒. I'm guilty of comparing myself to others and have to remember this is MY journey, I measure my progress with my own ruler ❤
Endless to-lists and emerging deadlines. The office can be a stressful place but there are ways to reclaim your peace. Here are a few ways to keep your calm at work:
• take breaks: set a timer every hour to step away from your task and get a breath of fresh air. Whether that’s just closing your eyes for a few minutes, taking a walk outside, or indulging in a nutritious snack, short breaks can help reduce stress.
• set boundaries: if you’ve set a boundary to not work on the weekends, honor that. If you don’t have time to take on a new project, decline it. If working with others, set boundaries with demanding coworkers.
• breathe through it: when you’re faced a stressful situation, take a moment to think on it before acting. Take a few slow breaths in and out to help calm your mind and give your some clarity.
What are some ways you relieve stress in the workplace? #moodnutrition#foodformood
Was so hungry this morning, so did a @tan_fit_to_fab and bulked up some leftover meal prep with lettuce🤣 took me a good 25 mins to eat😳
A woman told my partner to feed me more the other day and I said to him “if only she knew I actually eat so much more than you”😜😜 Team Volume 🙌🏼

#TBT 2015 ⏳

I control my day. I will not let my day control me⚡️ Some people have been asking how and why I work out in the morning. I just like the feeling of owning the day. Getting my exercise in for the day before it even starts feels extremely rewarding. I remind myself daily that it’s up to me how I make the most use of the time I have during the day and what better way to do it then to feel great and look great?
Monday morning here in HK, let’s smash the week and start off with a bang💥 If you’re looking for a fitness challenge, catch me and @mackfitt around at @f45_training_causewaybay
💯. Gotta start somewhere. If you don’t want to be a beginner and want to be excellent then you’re going to have to PUSH YOURSELF to do MORE and MORE every day. Make today better than yesterday. Hard work and dedication. MIND_over_MUSCLE. .
I absolutely love a good play or ballet. #thanksmom 🥰

The connection between working out and mental health is clear: Exercise has been shown to improve mental health by reducing anxiety, depression, and negative mood and by improving self-esteem and cognitive function. Exercise has also been found to alleviate symptoms such as low self-esteem and social withdrawal.
Plus sometimes it’s just good to get a good sweat in together 😅
🎂 Worked out arms & chest today but took leg/glute pics because #PROUDaf of how far I’ve come from since my figure competing days.💪🏼
It’s been months since I’ve tracked a meal, but I tracked for YEARS so I know in general what I need to eat to get the results I want. If I had a hard deadline of needing to look a certain way by a certain time, you bet I’d track. But I don’t.
I’m happy. I’m healthy. And not everything in my life revolves around my physique and training and eating to look a certain way and that’s how I like it. .
I focus on protein but don’t stress over it (also because I’m more than content with the amount of muscle mass I have)....and also incorporate veggies, carbs, fats (some healthy, some not).
I’ve found a really good rhythm (at least for the time being). I get to the gym generally 5 days a week - sometimes 4, sometimes 6. Just depends how I’m feeling. I focus on weightlifting but not PRing every single time I step foot in the gym. I focus on feeling good - my joints took a beating during prep days and I’m definitely paying for it so I’ve learned to listen to my body and let my ego go.
If you don’t agree with what’s stated above, that’s perfectly fine! It won’t work for everyone, but it’s what has been working for me. Just remember, your road to your personal successes/wins will likely be different than others and you need to let go of the idea that you need to do exactly what someone else did to get the results they did.

Happy Monday FLYFam - coffee at the ready! .
We have another jam-packed week of FlyFun. Our arms and abs schedule is now live at both BV and GDP - check out the website and newsletter for the full schedule. .
We have also introduced our POWER 30-minute FLY classes on Tuesdays at 12.30pm (both studios). See you in the stadium!
I love working and talking shoulders... Why? .
Partially because of the injuries I've sustained... Both shoulders injured either through overhead sports or incorrect form in the gym (or just trying to be stronger than I really am... it happens 🤷♂️)
Another reason I enjoy the shoulder; as I coached baseball and softball, I constantly preached arm health... And when a coach talks about arm health, we are primarily talking about the shoulder and elbow... Shoulders have ridiculous rotational ability, no other joint in the body can move quite like a shoulder. .
I don't wish shoulder injuries on anyone... However, if you were to experience the loss of nearly all mobility in your arms then spend a couple years rehabbing and building a solid foundation for active recovery without surgery, your appreciation for them would increase exponentially... And you'd want to make them STRONG!! .
That is exactly what I've worked towards... A solid foundation and STRENGTH. They are solid now and I'm slowly easing into heavier sets to build them up.
Gotta Love Pumpkins on Both Side of Your Mellon... 😁

☺️—> Helloo. Hi 🤓 here’s a couple post-workout selfies from today with gym bud @aravindhtamil 😆💪🏽 smashed a quick but effective shoulders and core workout 💯👊🏽 .
Honestly feel like I’m gym-hopping all over the place these days😆 I have so many memories in this gym! - around this time about 2.5 years ago is where my gym journey first started!!🤯 Every evening, I used to walk in, go to the same treadmill in the corner of the room, run for about 20 minutes and then hop on the leg extension and leg curl in the side room and leave.... that was IT, every workout I did for like a month was just that. I’m so grateful for the gym journey I’ve had; and for one person in particular back then, when I was at this gym, who guided and showed me more of the weights area, (outside my little world of the leg curl and leg extension🙃) that I was honestly too intimidated to try on my own... In this very gym. They didn’t just “show me around the weights area and demonstrate a few exercises”... they opened up my eyes, and showed me a vision. A vision of what I’m really capable of, and the strength I have to transform. The gym quickly became a channel that allowed me to manifest all the strength, determination and resilience I have within, and turn that into a driving force which would transform the external; the physical representation, of who I am. What is displayed on the outside, is a reflection of within. I am a work in progress, but I have come so far from the start. Forever learning. Forever on a journey. Forever growing. Forever, I am grateful✨ .
I’ve come so far in many ways and I’m so proud of myself. I’m happy I can be there for others, and hopefully be an inspiration...like that person was for me, for the people in my life now 🤲🏽 .
I am different. I know it and I feel it.

My messy hair doesn’t define me.
But the effort I put into myself does.
The times I go to the gym when I don’t want to does.
The energy I put into eating clean does.
The love I have for myself does.
We define who we are.
If you struggle with the gym and eating right I’ve been there.
I’ve let excuses define me and my ability to reach my goals.
If you ever struggle, I’m here to help. You can always DM me or shoot me an email 💕
