We’re still far from getting back at the top but it’s not impossible. If we ditch 3in1 coffee and support local coffee shops it will make a huge difference. This week we will be paring loads of sick coffees with 36 chambers. @cartelroasters have done it again. Their latest delivery is nothing short of outstanding, and should be on bar by mid week. We are so lucky to be working with one of the best on this planet.
We also have our first official guest spot by our mates and neighbours @prodigalcoffeeroasters. These guys are one of the coolest things happening in the area right now, and their Reckless blend is the absolute business.
Get in before it's all gone and we have to shut the doors.
Firstly, @sudforno if you are going to charge $3.75 for a bombolone (doughnut) basically the size of a Timbit, it BETTER be amazing. Unfortunately, we don’t believe your bombolones are worth the price tag, at this time.
The bombolone is a sugar-dusted doughnut that is filled with either Nutella or Cream. For this review we evaluated the Nutella flavour. The dough was great, as the dough on the inside was fluffy while the outer shell had a light fry to it creating a slight crunch.
Although we love a doughnut that is sugar-dusted, it messy to eat and brings a heavy sweetness. This means you need to make sure the other toppings or filling flavours balance nicely. Unfortunately, this was not the case with the Nutella filling. Nutella is naturally very sweet, so we found the combination too sweet for the size of the doughnut.
So where did @Sudforno loose us on this doughnut? Filling…the amount of filling.
PSA to all bakeries who make filled doughnuts…MAKE SURE TO FILL THEM!
This bombolone had very little filling. With the size of the bombolone, we were hoping to get a good amount of filling, and we didn’t. We really didn’t understand what we were paying a premium price for.
We strongly encourage @sudforno to review their bombolones because fundamentally they have the opportunity to be incredible! If they would make them bigger, fill them more, and explore other filling flavours (maybe a seasonal fruit) then you could score much bigger points with our team!

Probamos el Brunch para 2 ($1200) donde elegís de una listita enorme lo que más te guste dentro de cada categoría. Nosotros fuimos por: ✔ Avocado Toast ✔ Cinnamon Roll ✔ Beef Tenderloin ✔ Granola Casera ✔ Aperol Spritz ✔ Flat + American Black Coffee
Las porciones son enormes y siendo 2 quedas explotado 🐷, me parece ideal para compartir entre 3 con un café extra. Lo que más nos copó fue el sanguchito de lomito increíble, la granola bieeeen casera y los tomatitos de la avotoast que la rompieron toda 👊.
El café está bueno, lástima que lo trajeron 20min antes de la comida y se enfrió al toque, pero ofrecieron cambiarlos sin problema👍
Muy buena opción para esos días que se quiere brunchear fuerte, la comida es buenísima y la relación precio-calidad es genial. ⠀
