When in Croatia you.......try out some Sri Lankan cuisine? Why yes, doesn't everybody?? I always enjoy trying non-native cuisine to see how it fares when I travel, especially when it sticks out like a sore thumb and is completely unexpected. But god damn, was this AMAZING. So happy to have walked by @curry.bowl and make the decision to try it out.
Persian Autumn fruits...
Fresh Barberries - Zereshk
These little red jewels are incredible.
sprinkle them on top of a rice dish or over pot-roasted chicken, and they'll bring a burst of gorgeous colour and an explosion of tart flavour.
Take half a glass of Ab-zereshk (barberry juice) 15 to 20 minutes before a meal, and its active compound berberine can help prevent indigestion. Barberry are rich in vitamin C, an anti-inflammatory, lowers blood pressure.
Iran is the largest producer of zereshk.
The South Khorasan province in Iran is the main area of zereshk and saffron production in the world.
Hawthorn - Zalzalak in Persian
It tastes amazing, a little sweet and sour at the same time, which causes this extreme satisfaction of your taste buds.
The fruit usually grows in north western parts of Iran, they are mostly consumed for all their benefits: lowering blood pressure, lowering stress levels, has a lot of anti-oxidants and it prevents heart diseases.
Do make sure to try and not miss out on them.

São Tomé and Príncipe. Chicken with coffee sauce. Chicken breast is cubed and cooked in a sauce containing the oddest combination of ingredients I have known to share a plate – filter coffee, white wine, cream and chili paste. My taste buds were confused at the first bite. By the fifth, they were spellbound. Freshly brewed filter coffee purchased at Chief Coffee in Chiswick.

Did you know? Cumin is a staple spice in European and Mexican cuisines.
Having a warm and smoky flavor, it adds aromatic flavor and is used to enhance the taste of the dish. Whether you want to use it in stews, soups, or vegetables, cumin seed is a must-have spice for every kitchen. Go to the link in bio, and try out our Organic Cumin Seeds.

🌮 La Taqueria 🌮
Once you go to La Taqueria, you’ll never go back (as often) to Pick & Mex and Senor Taco. La taqueria is a small and cozy restaurant in the South of Antwerp. They’ve travelled all the way to the South of America to get those ingredients right. It’s safe to say that La Taqueria is my new favourite Mexican restaurant in Antwerp and totally approved!!!! Only minus was that although we booked a table we had to share a table for 2 with 3 people even though the restaurant was quite empty. But after we asked if it was possible to get another table she offered another one. So all good in the end! ✔️ vegan, organic & gluten-free •

🌮 OPEN EVERYDAY
Once again chef @agux1988 was to put together brand new combinations in an extremely delicious manner. A lobster with fermented olives and a cauliflower pure. Amazing combination of umami, sweetness and just a bit salty. Very well balanced.
H is for #Honduras and the dish representing is #Baleada it is a folded #tortilla with red bean stuffing. Along with other yummy ingredients like avocados, cheese and cabbage. I saw on @netflixasia documentary about avocados and it made me feel like I shouldn’t be eating them anymore. I really love 🥑, I mean, what’s not to love about them. The thing abt documentaries; sometimes your don’t know if they are just propaganda.
