A decidedly decadent dessert, I could not resist the siren's call of the "Fried What?" From @beardeddogschs at their kitchen takeover at @dashichs , and lo was my diet deliciously torn asunder.
A warm, gooey fudge brownie from none other than the renowned @cookiechicksc , encased in a crisp pillow of fried batter, accompanied by a scoop of vanilla bean ice, and then drizzled with caramel and chocolate sauces.

After a weekend (+2 days 😬) of culinary debauchery in Mexico City...a salad seemed fitting, but at this point you gotta know I jazzed it up and turned it into one mother of salad 😎 it was grilled grass fed filet, over arugula dressed in sesame + ginger vinaigrette and topped with Mexican wontons (siete tortilla strips, broiled). ⠀
I never go crazy after vacations with my diet, but do keep it 'cleaner' for a few days after. How do you reset after vacation eats + drinks.⠀
➕6 oz grass fed filet (love the whole foods one).⠀
➕1 almond flour tortilla (sietefoods, cut into strips and broiled 2-3 min. Don't let it burn).⠀
➕arugula to taste.⠀
➕1.5 tbsp rice wine vinegar.⠀
➕1/2 tbsp sesame oil.⠀
➕1/2 tsp olive oil.⠀
➕splash of lemon.⠀
➕1 tsp tamari or aminos.⠀
➕1/2 tsp honey.⠀
➕sesame seeds to taste.⠀
➕1-2 tsp minced ginger (the ginger people).⠀
🍃grill the steak for 2-3 min per side for med rare. 🍃whisk the vinaigrette. 🍃add scallions, the steak and the wontons.⠀

I was too lazy to cook yesterday so I decided to keep it simple and make an open face sandwich. This had some brie, prociutto, and shaved pears. 🍞🍐🥓🧀I also added honey on top but forgot to take a picture. It's amazing how much energy☀️ I got after doing something creative even though I was super tired.
This helps me reinforce the idea that you don't need to be motivated to do something. It's sometimes the opposite where you do things to get motivated.

Another day in Belgium 🇧🇪. I caught the sunset 🌅 today and I had ribeye 🥩 with frites for dinner. Maybe next time we go to a different restaurant. 😅

Being gifted a food box and bigging it up cos it’s free, is not being a foodie. A lifestyle feed full of gifted cosmetics, sachets of shit, toxic feminist quotes (that suggest the empowerment of women but does the opposite) and after all that, shots of food. She’ll endorse any old shit as long as it’s free especially from @spicentice Loves using avocado (the go-to ingredient for a fake foodie) and poached eggs, only to get the yolk spill. This women can’t seem to keep her food on the plate and wastes so much food on the table which is just irresponsible considering starving and poverty still exists - fucking hypocrite. Her flat must be a disgrace with vermin nibbling up all the scraps. Should I be looking at her crumpets or paying more attention to the sexual signalling with the hair thing? This is not how a foodie behaves - it should be all about the food and not all about them. She needs to change her handle.
Ps. You don’t use lemon in Mexican cooking as Mexicans don’t. .
CASE IN POINT:
Dry undercooked looking rice - I can tell and know that you let it sit there whilst you took 20 odd snaps, spending most of your time adding shit to the table.
Poorly cut chilli - sharpen your knife skills.
Amateur platting - school dinners.
Old, limp colourless cilantro - ready for the bin.
Ponce composition with cut tomatoes, garlic, black pepper corns (I think) and chilli scattered all over the table - some homework required. Give waste to food bank.
You don’t tear bead for a food shot you leave it whole or cut it - rookie mistake with the idea being to make it more homely (if you didn’t have all that shit on the table you might’ve got away with it). Crumpled napkin - lazy.
Who buys cutlery in @nextofficial - embarrassing.

When life gives you Monday, dip it in some hummus from @ransackedblackoven!
Last night, I had one of the most enjoyable meals @ransackedblackoven. The ambience of a Sunday evening is so different to an afternoon - so cozy and relaxing with warm lighting. To start off, we had the falafel sharing board. It came with a variety of breads and fresh dips. I especially loved their peacamole!
For mains, we had the chargrilled marinated flat iron steak (sorry, felt quite carnivorous that night). The steak was very well marinated and went perfectly with the tamarind & date Persian slaw (how cool does that sound?!). I feel like most people would go for their vegan soul bowls, but I can never resist a steak. We also had the roast salmon with lemongrass & ginger served on a bed of noodles. The salmon was great and simply melted in my mouth… I was so happy that there was peacamole served with the salmon!
For desserts, I was so excited to try their pumpkin & peanut chocolate brownie (gluten-free & vegan). I loved the chunks of peanuts intertwined with the richness of chocolate. Next, we tried the Eastern mess which was a combination of Greek yoghurt and passionfruit. If you love sour, you should totally try this!
There is literally an option for anyone, whether you are vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or pescatarian. There is a wide selection of sourdough flatbreads, falafels, meats, salads, dips, spreads and etc etc… Fabulous service and food I must say! Thank you!
