✏Honestly impressed by this place! I finally found a shop that is able to keep their tapiocas soft, where it doesn't harden quickly despite meeting ice! The brown sugar tapioca pearls had the perfect soft chewy texture, and the sugar level was pretty good, once mixed properly with the creamy milk.

We are back in Bodhgaya India, where Michael and his Team are running an NGO @bowlofcompassion_india for underpriviliged children and elderly.
Michael has been starting the NGO 10 years ago as a small Soupkitchen for homeless. His passion for cooking has never left him. After many foodtravels and learning recipes from local families, we now will open a small Cafe in Bodhgaya which is open during the main season.
Here we will also serve dishes that we have learned during our travels. We are teaching the recipes to our local team and will start serving the first plates to travelers soon :) We also would like to organize Charity Dinners in the Cafe to raise funds for particular needs at the NGO.
Our friend and sister Lara @feuer_und_flamme_berlin has been a family member of A Bowl of Compassion since the beginning. She is teaching vegan cakes to the staff which we will serve at the Cafe as well. Thanks so much Lara!
And a massive Thank you to our friends Marcel and Nadine @ marceleltonio who have always been supportive and believed in our dreams.
Lets see where this joureny takes us. Our goal is that the restaurant can be run by our local team one day.
One of the cool perks of @fenixfood is being able to sit by the Maas and enjoy things like this view, good company and a bottle of @okologischesweingut’s 2018 long-skin contact (6 weeks) 𝗥𝗶𝗲𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 “Voodoo Doll”. @blijewijnen.nl and their @barblijewijnen uncorked this crazy amber stuff for us.
It’s very rich, well bodied, contributes pleasing aromatics to the nose and has a very fresh mouth feel with incredibly mature depth.
Very serious and fine Riesling, a unique #grapejuice .

Nous avons choisis le restaurant Coconut Lily. C'est un restaurant familial qui privilégie la qualité à la quantité pour leur cours de cuisine.
Nous avons partagé ce moment avec un autre couple de Français.
On a appris à cuisiner :
- le plat typique du Cambodge le "Amok", un curry de poisson cuit à la vapeur dans une feuille de bananier.
- une salade de papaye
- des authentiques springs rolls au tarot
- un dessert à la noix de coco

Sometimes I wish that you could smell and taste what I post. Every dish in this picture were phenomenal and addictive in their own ways. The beef tongue that had been marinated for a few days, the crispy tofu with a thin dough, the dried noodle ramen with a whole crab was perfectly balanced and I cannot praise enough on how much we loved this prawn shrimp ramen! The first scoop you feel the intensity of the broth, but as you eat it, you just can't stop yourself from going back at it.

They are "paysans boulangers" or peasant bakers meaning that they carefully take care of all the process from grain to bread: creation of an healthy soil, a selection of ancient wheats varieties, and most especially a very precise method of grinding with their own stone mill allowing the flour to preserve all its nutritious goodness. And then of course, baking with love. Inside mangwon market, there is this kalguksu (handcut noodles) place that you could smell when you walk along. I remembered being soooo hungry but i did not get the chance to eat it that day and I kept thinking about it that I actually went back the next day to try it out 😂
