Did you know that the world's first fully synthetic plastic was invented just over 100 years ago in 1907?
Leo Baekeland created 'bakelite', the first plastic, in New York and thus began the plastic tide 🌊
In the ocean
We lost ourselves
In the ocean
I found a new way
Life is hard
As it gets
In the ocean
You'll find yourselves
In the ocean... —— since small
I’ve been on a quest
a search for home
and what it means
during my journey
I’ve projected home and my happiness onto things, places and people outside of myself
I’ve held onto relationships
hoping they would make me feel at home at peace
in the course of 2 years I’ve been stripped of illusions layer by layer
the more I rebelled against it or showed resistance
the more I thought I was in loss
watching my life like a movie
eating the popcorn
poof there goes my company my flat my partner
poof poof poof gone
and it hurt
my yoga practice today began to a song about the ocean
ouff a dam full of tears cracked open
UMANITA’.
Siate prudenti e riguardatevi, torneremo presto a sorridere.
Buona domenica e un forte abbraccio! ♡
In Thailand the lack of tourists feeding the monkeys has caused the monkeys to brawl for food.
While others are eating plastic for sustenance.

Calling all world leaders 👋🏻 We must take the recent downfall of our economy, and use it as a once in a lifetime opportunity to build it back up in the sustainable way we need to fight climate change.
Instead of bailing our toxic industries like cruises, oil, and most airlines, lets use the $ to transition to a world that doesn’t run off fossil fuels, but transitions our economy to clean, localized energy, for more jobs and less emissions.
Let’s use this as an opportunity to stop destructive industries and big businesses from ruling our economy, and put back the power and money into the people who need it most, not the billionaire CEOs who didn’t have a rainy day fund.
The world is currently going through a time where the need to work together to save lives is a prime concern. While the fight against an invisible enemy is of great importance, the need to unite and protect our planet has never been greater than it is now. Considering the circumstances of self isolation and lockdown legislations, @earthhourofficial continued digitally, online, bringing together millions of people in solidarity for the conservation of mother nature and Planet Earth🌍💚💙

Earth Hour is an annual tradition in which people switch off their lights to spread awareness about sustainability and climate change. Started by the World Wildlife Fund, it takes place on March 28, 2020, from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. local time. We are taking part. #earthhour2020#earthhour#fortheloveofnature#motherearth
Happy Saturday ☕️ Outside my window it looks gloomy, so today will probably consist of some quality time with my son and drawing more forests 🌲 Just around the corner are days that we can spend hiking and enjoying the sun, instead of dreaming about it 🌞 What are you looking forward to in the summer months ahead?
It's time for us to reuse and recycle more than ever. Hold off recycling our bottles a little longer, keep the kiddos occupied for 5 mins and get to love this little guy.... before you eat his hair!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
BECO. bottle + cotton wool + cress seeds + decoration of your choice = voila!

Even though not everyone is allowed to go outside at the moment, we like to dream ourselves into nature to recharge our batteries.
Make your own diy eco friendly hand sanitiser by mixing equal parts aloe Vera gel (you can get this out of your🎍plant if you’ve got one!) and strong alcohol (like vodka or rubbing alcohol). Add essential oils if you like 🌿
Stay safe 🙏
Happy Friday! I hope you are enjoying yourself on this beautiful day! I know it is tough to be stuck inside on such a beautiful day and you are probably dreaming out getting outdoors this weekend. For those who are staying in and choosing to walk around the block instead of head to a trailhead this *air hi five* is for YOU! .
Thank you to all who understand that the sacrifice of staying in now, will help this end quicker! Feel free to reach out to me for a game night via zoom or to do a joint video porch workout! .
