Sunny days in winter are the best ☀️ ⠀⠀
Especially if you get to be out on a #hikingtrail enjoying all of #naturesbeauty ⠀⠀
And it’s fun to leave your #tracks in the snow! 😆
Double tap if you ❤️ exploring in the snow ❄️
Throwback photo of me as a pup and my big bro in heaven Ruger. Ruger taught me to be chill, sweet, loving, and not afraid to ask for what I want. I was always the wild one, but as I’ve grown older I’ve learned to be like my big bro 😇 🐕 .

Mom & I hiked a trail today and the view wasn’t half bad. 😜 GOG has nothin’ on Sedona. 🏜💕

I’ve been so busy working on projects, unfortunately I don’t have any “TaDa” pretty pictures to share with you just yet. Our bridge, pathway and the landscaping near our creek however, will be finished soon enough. Until then, thank you for your patience. ❤️
Do you ever feel pressure to get a project completed so can post a pretty “after” picture?
Not so long ago, when it came to posting creative or inspiring content, I felt like I was in a competition and I was failing miserably. 🤦♀️
Each and every day, I’d see other people knocking out projects and posting photos within hours...and then? There was me....taking a week or more to finish my own thing(s). I felt like I wasn’t posting enough and eventually... like I was letting people (YOU) down. My sense of urgency was through the roof and I started to rush to get stuff done which was a BIG mistake!
I completely lost sight of the reason I joined this platform and because I was rushing, I was no longer enjoying the creative process.
I am happiest with a paint brush, power tool or shovel in my hand and when I work on a project, I’m fully vested. Yes, the finished result is rewarding but I also find immense joy in the actual process. Rushing things so I could hurry and post a photo was contradicting my purpose and stealing my joy so I regrouped and stopped putting unnecessary pressure on myself.
What Instagram doesn’t show you is that everyone’s circumstances are different and what others are doing (or not doing) is 💯 none of our business.
If it takes 2hrs, 2 days, 2 weeks or 2yrs to accomplish a goal? So be it.
As much as we’d all like to reach our goals YESTERDAY...it’s important to embrace and enjoy the “in between” stuff along the way.
Even if the in between consists of mounds of dirt, tons of weeds, piles of concrete and an achy back.🙄💁♀️
Hiiii! I’m starting a new adventure, starting a blog!🏔
Right now a lot of you reading this probably already know me 😊 But I’d like to take the time and formally introduce myself to anyone who doesn’t! My name is Emily Hamilton – I typically go by Em.
I currently live in the lovely Green Mountain State (Vermont). At the moment – it isn’t very green. Good thing I love the snow! Something about a cold snowy day makes me appreciate how warm and cozy my little apartment can be. I live here in Vermont with my amazing partner Dash. He’s a resident physician with only 4 👏🏻 months 👏🏻 left 👏🏻 He is typically the man behind the camera – a real trooper and top level #instagramboyfriend . You will hear lots more about him in future posts!!
We love to adventure together and see new things (which just so happens to go right along with the theme of my blog!). When I’m not exploring you could definitely find me hanging out with my cats, drinking a seltzer, and binge watching a reality t.v. show – where my Bachelor fans at?! 🌹 Fun fact – I did not used to be “outdoorsy” unless you count drinking outside on the patio 😅 Dash introduced me to my love of hiking and exploring only about 4 years ago!
I just turned 27 on February 16th – oof 👵🏼 and took a good look at my life. Something felt like it was missing – and I’m hoping I find it with my blog! I can’t wait to tell you more about myself in the future and wowwww I’m so grateful you’re here. Check out the new site by clickin’ the link in my bio, I’d be so so happy to have you follow along! #WanderfulTravelBlog

As you can probably tell we aren’t great at posting on the Insta front. We were lucky enough to go on an advanture to Skye in November and we had the best time.
This is a shot from my phone of the AMAZING Quiraing walk we did one day. Scotland has so many beautiful spots & exploring by campervan really is pretty hard to beat. After this beautiful walk we made some yummy soup from the comfort of our little kitchen on wheels then set off exploring some more of what Skye had to offer... we were not disappointed!
Are you naturally a winter person? A winter lover? Ice baby? If not, guess what, I’m not either... Not naturally anyway. I’m a child of the summer, a lover of long warm days full of adventure. But I need the outdoors all year round. So over the years I’ve learnt to love winter, and I really do love it when it looks like this 💙🏔 So if you’re inclined to hibernate, step awayyyyy from the blanket, and take me as proof that you can love winter too!
The post storm Ciara and pre storm Dennis snowy weather window, and the possibility of it being the last chance for some snowy mountain action this winter, was too much to ignore today! Snowdon, you were a dream 💙 No views, but who needs views when you’re snow blind and loving life 😁

Enid visited Wapta Falls with us when she was 3 months old and she didn’t even get mad when Adam brought her close to the falls and she got sprayed. It’s hands down one of my favourite spots and I can’t wait to take her back there this summer! ❤️💦 #waterfallwednesday#hellobc#waybackwednesday
