I'm working on mask making and a few custom pieces, so I have nothing new to post! These are some magnet sets I made a while back. Go to my etsy or DM to purchase.
I've got so many scrap papers waiting to be made into magnets, so I'll have to make a few more sets soon!
A bunch of fridge magnets I've made.
Acrylic on 3" by 3" canvas.
I've just been experimenting with random themes and I think I'm gonna do a lot more of the food ones because the lockdown is making me miss all kinds of food :P
They actually look pretty good when put up, but my phone refuses to capture good photos so nevermind. Anyways, hmu if you guys want customized fridge magnets of your own. 🥳
Puzzle vs canvasboard

Turn the colouring pages into permanent art pieces. Both can be framed and displayed in your house / office.
“Kitne Aadmi the?” asked Gabbar.
“Hazaaro the sarkar,” replied Simba.
“Covid-19 ek aur hazaro aadmi bahar ghoom rahein the, bahut nainsaafi hai yeh,” said Gabbar.
“Par sarkar, woh sab ek mahine ke se ghar mein hi the. Ab thodi der ke liye baahar nikle the,” explained Simba.
“Arrey oh Simba ... kitne baar samjhaya hai sarkar ne unko?” asked Gabbar.
“Bahut baar sardar,” accepted Simba.
“Kya samajhkar nikle the ... ki sardar bahut khush hoga, shabashi dega?” Gabbar roared angrily, “iski sazaa milegi ... barabar milegi!
“Par who Covid-19 ke hot spot mein nahin gaye the,” explained Simba.
“Ab kaahaan Corona hain kaahaan nahi humko nahin pataa. Humko kuchh nahin pataa.” Laughed Gabbar.
“Doobara aisi galti nahin hogi sardar” promised Simba.
“Covid-19 ke taap se tumhe ek hi aadmi bacha sakta hai, ek hi aadmi ... khud tum,” declared Gabbar.
SOUVENIR BOX 2️⃣ Are you a Memomagnetist? I am certainly one 😁
The collector of magnets is called as a 'Memomagnetist'. Well there is no official citation, however, it is believed that a Russian collector proposed this term.
Fridge Magnets are certainly one of the most frequently bought souvenirs by any traveller.
My question to you - How many fridge magnets are enough? How many do you get after every trip?
2 or 3 maybe? Can you take a wild guess how many would I end up buying after every possible trip?
Hint: the collection seen in the image is approximately 1/4 of the actual collection I have at home.
I like to get a magnet of each major spot visited, for me, it is a way to remember the place I have been. So on average there would be a minimum of 10 magnets from each trip that I get home. Apart from that, there would be another 10-12 magnets for my friends. With some friends, I have a ritual of exchanging magnets for every trip we take. This wasn't something we decided, but we have been following this involuntarily. So in addition to the ones that I get for myself, there are a handful of magnets that I get from my friends too.
The answer to the number of magnets that I have at my place is approx. 120 😁😁 My next question for you - Do you pick or just grab any magnet that you see at the stall/store?
I look for the following while selecting magnets –
1) Does it capture the spot I visited well?
2) How is the finishing of the magnet? (Kinda picky about this 🙈)
3) What's material? Usually, prefer the ceramic/clay types, but lately due to some minor mishaps – read: falling off from the fridge while opening or closing, very few of them cracked so I look for the soft ones
The collection in the image is from all major places visited since 2013 – Sri Lanka, Ladakh, Jaipur, Hong Kong, Macao, Dubai, Thailand, Singapore, Delhi, Agra, Karnataka, Goa, Kerala. There are 3 magnets in this image that are my absolute favorite – Sri Lanka land area, Hong Kong streets & the Taj Mahal one.
My wish is to mount a frame on my wall with all the fridge magnets, just like how @s.divya22 has at her place 😍
