FIRST RATING. I’ve been excited and nervous about this day for a long time now. What would my first rating be? Where would I start at? Would I be dissapointed if I was at ???
Now here we are starting at 928. I’m shocked and thrilled to compete! Biggest lesson to focus on now is that this number doesn’t define me. If I shoot golf I am proud of, then who cares what it’s rated?? Easier said than done, but I’m hopeful each of you can keep me accountable.
How did today go for you? Anyone else get their first rating today? How are you feeling? LET’S GO COMPETE!!
Today was up and down, hit chains on hole 5 but it didn't stick, drives not hitting the fairways, but scrambling fairly well. Just couldn't find the groove. So enjoy this gem of a McPro Aviar I put back in rotation.
Well... I guess I’m apart of the 1020 club now? Really did not expect this, apparently I had some low rated rounds fall off and my last two tournaments I’ve averaged 1035+ rated golf, but I thought I was going to go to like 1015 or 1016... but 1024... that’s wild.
How do you throw and windup your forehand? I took a look at keeping it flat versus rolling your wrist. There is a clear winner. Take a look and let me know what you think! Video on YouTube, link in my story. If you want to learn more about throwing, join my zoom class! Starts Friday, link in bio. #ultimatefrisbee#frisbee#excelultimate

In my last year of undergrad I went through a relatively low point. Being unsure about what my life would look like in the future, it often felt purposeless and meaningless and was usually more prone to the dreaded existential crisis.
During that time my boyfriend shared the concept of Ikigai with me (pronounced Ick-ee-guy). In short, Ikigai is a Japanese concept meaning "a reason for being". Having been in existential-mode, it was a hard concept for me to initially accept, but since I didn’t want to stay that way forever I finally mustered the strength to explore the idea of ikigai further.
From what I have come to understand and believe about life, we have to consciously create and choose our own meaning. Ikigai embraces this by saying that your reason for being can be seen as the convergence of four main elements:
1) Your passion - What do you love to do?
2) Your mission - What does the world need right now?
3) Your vocation - What skills do you have/what are you good at?
4) Your profession - What can you get paid to do?
The concept and these questions take our individual uniqueness, looks at what we love and are good at, gives those things meaning by how they can help the world, and also makes them realistic by recognizing that we probably do need to make money to survive.
There are probably several things you can list for each individual question, but ultimately the culmination of all four elements can be seen as your ikigai. We all have to have a reason for being, and we all have to sew together that fabric of meaning for ourselves.

In this lockdown, we are all missing a juicy and delicious burger. So here's presenting the burgers we've tried and tested, so make a list.
@frisbeesburgerpeddler is known for their delicious burgers and shakes. The Jamaican Gold at frisbees is an absolute delight. It's Jamaican flavoured blast grilled chicken topped with onion, tomatoes, lettuce, jalapenos pickled mushrooms and smothered with loads of orange Chipotle mayo. The chicken is cooked so well and is so flavourful and combined with the Chipotle mayo, this burger will tantalize your taste buds and leave you wanting more. Definitely a must try!
Location: Dadar, Bandra, Andheri
Tip: If you don't have a large appetite they also serve junior burgers. Also look out for their unlimited burgers offer!
Ambience: It is a small cafe like place with limited seating
