Learning to be #frugal . I have this bookcase that I really don’t have any use for at this point. I was on the verge of getting rid of it while simultaneously shopping for a bar cart. And then I remembered that money doesn’t grow on trees (or so they say😑). So I realized with a tiny bit of work I could repurpose the book shelf as my bar cart. Found these stemware racks on Amazon that don’t require drilling (because the shelves are glass) and voilà, a “bar cart” was born. Now #BarOliver is back in business! Need more @ciroc to complete our collection. Already have several bottles of the elusive #crownpeach waiting for us in Virginia 😁
💰Money Saving Advice - Eat more vegetables
When it comes to meat versus veggies, the latter is cheaper and also nutritionally dense. We’re not saying go vegetarian, but eating less meat and more vegetables could help out your weekly budget.
Let’s talk sinking funds! Ever have an annual membership (Amazon Prime 😒) or unexpected car maintenance catch you off guard and derail your budget? Sinking funds are a great way to minimize surprises in your finances. Check out the video for more info.
Do you currently have a sinking fund? What are some of the things you save for? Anything you might be forgetting?
I have an interview for a part time job on Monday! It’s for an evening receptionist at a car dealership. Do you think it’s a deal breaker if I don’t have the same kind of car 🤔? I’m NOT getting my hopes up. My availability is kind of limited after all. But we’ll see what happens, and even if I don’t get the job it’ll be good interview practice 🤷🏼♀️ I haven’t had an interview in nearly 2 years since I started at my current job!
No such thing as a Saturday sleep in for me I like to be up about 6 am so I can get the most out of my weekend off I have found doing up a list for each member of the family on top of a power hour our house can stay tidy and we can then move onto family fun
Anybody else try to keep an eye on the clearance racks for their gift stash? I am definitely a gift giver but on this debt free journey I've obviously had to cut back, so I'm always on the lookout for awesome gifts at a great price. Target is the best (and most dangerous) obviously, but today I decided to check out a Walmart I'd stopped into to do a Field Agent job. Overall I feel like Walmart clearance sucks but today I found this gem. Originally $30 on clearance for $7. I love board games and had heard about this one through the grapevine. Still I googled it real quick to make sure it was worth it. Amazon reviews said yes, so I scooped it up. Bonus is if I give this to a friend or family member I get to play it too! 😜. Always thinking ahead. #savingmoney#frugal#debtfreejourney#frugalgifts#clearance#boardgames
Story time! I used to have lots of makeup, but I don’t wear makeup 🧐 Hang on. So... I was keeping makeup that I literally never ever wore and never planned to wear. I’ve ended up with these three items that I use for weddings and special occasions so I don’t have to purchase new makeup or pay to have it done.
You can still be a minimalist and have lots of makeup but I’d encourage you to think about what you actually use. I think the other thing we have to be mindful of in a world of constant, targeted advertising is not buying more when we already have the same things at home.
Ps before you say “I have lots of makeup because I love it,” that’s totally fine! Keep the stuff you love! Just some ideas to get you thinking 😉

Progress! Plans changed & I'm focusing on the south bed instead of along the fence (I should number these beds 🤔) we'll be getting 2 seasoned railroad ties from my dad so my plan is to artistically mesh them with these blocks.
I haven't put down a sand base (& I don't wanna) & though I need to level these out I just wanna get them down & layed out before winter.
SCORE! I almost cancelled this because I have a TON to do at home. So glad I came! I ordered 4 squeeze ball makers for $1 and they gave me 3 that were in stock and substituted 4 Pikmi pop bubble drop balls for 25 cents each!! Yasssss. Not sure these will make it to my stock pile because the kids saw them. 😆🤩😂😍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Link is still in my bio @goglitchdeals to see if your store has them for $1!! Retail $24.99

Best loan for your first rental property.......
30 year fixed conventional loan.
Get your credit fixed up and find a mortgage broker that you trust.
Find yourself a house with a 1% rent to price ratio. With a 30 year fixed this will work.
Get one under your belt and then you can decide if you want to go bigger or call it a day.

Little by little! It's another small step in the right direction. It's only at 10% right now, because as mentioned in previous posts, I'm going going to fund my Roth IRA before the deadline. Then I plan on raising my 401k contributions again.
Drop a “CONGRATS” for this brotha! #DebtFreeDegree
. . . #Repost@mr_tez
Well today I graduated with my Masters of Science in Industrial and Organizational Psychology for FREE!!! 100% debt free paid for degree!!! It’s truly a blessing to have come this far especially where I come from. Most individuals go off to college, get their degree, and leave the block behind.
I been talking to God all year about my purpose and this summer he put something in me. He told me it’s time to give back to the streets and uplift the inner city youth to show them another way out. I don’t feel comfortable going to Corporate America working a job in a cubicle, making a decent salary, and laying low. I can’t see myself leaving the oppressed and hopeless behind.
I don’t know exactly what that looks like yet but me and God are engaging in some intense conversations. The move doesn’t need to be shared with everyone. Only God can direct my steps, I just make the plan. Blessings 🙌🏾🙏🏾💪🏾
