Not QUITE what I meant when I said I wanted to stay cool this summer... 😒 #whyareyoumymom
Summer certainly is in full swing here, and we've been making more trips to the beach every day, so Loki can take a dip in the ocean and get some relief from the stifling heat! 😓
At home we have the fan going all day, and Loki's water bowl gets topped up with ice every few hours.
He even gets his raw food almost straight from the freezer, as he seems to prefer it icy when the weather turns warmer ❄️
It's really important to me that Loki is always as comfortable as possible, and I've had to get pretty creative with ways to keep him cool and busy during the day... Any of my fellow dogmoms/dads have clever tips for keeping your pups cool when the heat waves hit? 👀 . . .

We couldn’t AFFORD a Dog 🐕🐶 •
I remember begging Hubs for a Puppy only a few short months after moving to SK. I grew up with a dog & our house 🏡 just didn’t feel right without one PLUS night shifts can be incredibly lonely. I finally found a litter a few weeks old, but we were struggling to make ends meet already & adding the expense of a dog was scary…. We had just moved across the country, I wasn’t working yet, My Credit Card was high AF, We had just bought EVERY FREAKING Appliance for our House . . . paycheque to paycheque – that’s just how it was – I’m sure many newly weds can identify with that.
I cried over finances
I cried because the price of flights ✈️ were insane when I wanted to go home
I cried over putting groceries on credit cards
I hated having that constant lump in my throat until we started getting “back on our feet” & I started Teaching - so when the coaching opportunity presented itself less than 10 months later – my goal was to help enough people every month that we could have a little extra to do/have the things we wanted & not have to feel like that again.
I’m super grateful for all the big things Coaching has given us #sahdogmom 💗🙌🏻 but it’s the smaller everyday things, like not stressing over Berkley’s $88 bag of dog food that reminds me of why I started in the 1st Place.
I just want to help others drop the stress too.
