Once Africa is in your heart, I assure you, it never leaves. Those who visit Africa become quite protective over it. Your memories will be impossible to shake, perhaps even beat. Your stories so precious, you'll be egar to share with anyone who'll listen!
Push on 2021 African holidays.
Some great prices coming in, and what a way to support tourism.
Being in this wild, spacious environment and close to the natural world will transport you to a place of calm and hope.
With the ever present COVID threat, the lodges of the Lewa- Borana landscape and Loisaba Conservancy are working together in order to put stringent measures in place.
When you visit your only concern will be to immerse yourself into the magic that is northern Kenya.
All properties on Lewa-Borana and Loisaba will enforce requisite social distancing protocols as well as health protocols as set by the Kenyan Government and the WHO.
We will ensure that as soon as you step foot on these conservation areas, you will be provided with the essential hygiene products to maintain a COVID-safe environment.
The following set of protocols and regulations are what we, as a landscape, have agreed to uphold to ensure a safe and relaxing experience.
We insist that all visitors to the Lewa-Borana Landscape and Loisaba Conservancy have full AMREF cover or other adequate cover which allows for medical evacuation.

We found this impressive male leopard right next to our camp - Selati Camp - at sunrise & followed him to the front of the camp itself where he quenched his thirst. He is called the Nweti Male leopard.
Soon after drinking he led us back to his warthog kill, made yesterday afternoon sometime.
What a great experience & what a great place this is! Thanks @sabisabireserve for the incredible time thus far!

And if you’re planning to travel...where will you be hitting next...are you thinking bush or beach? Meanwhile, the countdown to the wildebeest migration is on in the Maasai Mara. “The great wildebeest migration is one of the most phenomenal natural spectacles in the world. Have you ever noticed how long a leopard’s whiskers are? They are noticeably longer than the whiskers of any of the other big cat species. Whiskers are modified hairs that have become specialised touch organs. From tip to tip a leopard’s whiskers will be about as wide as its body. This allows the leopard to focus solely on its prey as it stalks whilst information about the terrain it is stalking through is being constantly fed to it through its whiskers! This maximises the leopard’s chance of a successful hunt and as a solitary predator this can mean the difference between life and death!
