WE ARE REPEATING HISTORY FAM!
--FREEDOM AIN'T FREE-- "I attest that the words of Malcolm X and the words of the U.S. Declaration of Independence of 1776 are equivalent to each other! If Government is interfering with the safety and happiness of the governed. Then the tyranny of said Government must be dismantled and rebuilt to secure the safety and happiness of the People. By any means necessary!" ~Tony Smiles
We love and appreciate you @sybrinafulton. You showed us how to fight for Trayvon and so many other Black folks killed by vigilantes and law enforcement. We will keep fighting until all Black folks are free.
A huge percentage of you work in public schools (please take the poll in our story as we would love to know where each of you work!) so I’m sure you’re more than aware of the issues within the public school system. What else needs to be changed? Share below! 👇🏽
Yesterday’s Sunday Discussion I’m Biased Disciplinary Policies raises questions about what role and responsibility white teachers have when it comes to teaching black and brown students. Here is a letter from @rachelherron_ directed to white teachers on this role and what comes next.

Remember our IG friend @doc.iggy we met and shared with you over the weekend? I (@michellesaahene) happen to be visiting Dallas for the week and found out he lives here! Now we are friends in real life too 🇳🇬x🇬🇭 🥳 How serendipitous!
Doc is shooting for the stars in life just like many of us, but also has to deal with the weight of racial discrimination from fellow scrub-wearers in institutions that weren’t meant for our participation unless we were on the table, and even then, still experiencing racism. It will be okay though, because Doc is smarter and cooler than all of those fools trying to tear him down. He’s going to be an amazing #surgeon and he has thousands supporting and rooting for him.
As his self-appointed cousin and Queen Mother (it’s an African thing) I’m going to ask to refrain from commenting on his looks. They got a bit wild on the last post of him. We all see his face. It’s cute. Black men are often fetishized, but not protected. Racism doesn’t care how attractive you are. Amplify their voices and their humanity. #ShowUp against racism.

THIS!!!! 🗣🗣🗣 My ass always been rather assertive my whole like and while most were very critical of it, there’s one person who helped shaped my perspective on how I show up and it was my homie @llewellynradford! I literally would be going off about something and he would be like “Precious, you’re such a leader” ...and we would laugh. Lol
I think it’s important for us to be cognizant of the way we see bold, courageous and assertive women because calling them “bossy or “too much”, etc” can be harmful/conterproductive to the individual and to us as a society!
