Today, I took on the Gotham Burger Challenge in Geraldine, New Zealand. Weighing in at 1.6kg, or 3.5 pounds, this beefy behemoth contained 1kg of ground beef, 300g of bacon, and 300g of cheese, as well as lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and barbecue sauce on a mammoth bun.
To beat the challenge, you have to polish this bad boy off in under 30 minutes. It's highly recommended for those staving off vegetarianism, protein loading, and testing the expanding qualities of your arteries.
Geraldine or Heratini (Māori) is a town in the Canterbury Region on the South Island of New Zealand. It is about 140 km south of Christchurch, and inland from Timaru, which is 35 km to the south. Geraldine has a country village atmosphere, with majestic old forests, early settlers cottages and little arts and crafts corners.
