Dad told me I have to renember?
Happy Veterans day everyone!
This picture was taken after the vet yesterday. He is feeling alot better today as I have a found roundworm in his poop even though he's been dewormed. No worries though, he's already on his meds and on the road to a speedy recovery.
Oh and we finally weighed him on the scale!
We're going way back to foundational stuff since Norma has decided she doesn't want to listen anymore. If she doesn't do what I ask on the first try, we reset. The sped up videos are the entire session. You see, especially with the jumps, that I'm resetting her a lot. By the end of the 5 minutes, Norma was much more deliberate with her actions. She even took a position for the first time!
Along the same lines, I'm starting to train a "give" command for her retrieve. She likes to drop the item as soon as my hands are at the side of her face. Now, I'm requiring her to hold onto it until I say "give". This was the first time we worked on it and I'm pretty happy with it!
Overall, I'm trying to be much more deliberate with my training. I have been pretty loose with her since she has been doing so well. Now that she's being a teenager, she has taken advantage of not really having any rules. It sucks taking steps back, but I can already tell she is benefiting from so much structure. It's all about clear communication and expectations and I can't say I have been doing well on that front.

The grape-harvesting is both a hard work and a feast at the time. After the long hours of hoeing, the pruning and the grafting of the grape the time of wine-making has arrived. The phrase “grape-harvesting” (szüret) in the Hungarian language originally meant one of the steps of wine-making, the clearing, but nowadays it meant to the harvesting of other fruits too. In this article we are going to introduce some of the habits of harvesting.
It's Veterans Day & I'm thankful for my fellow veterans, friends, family and all those who continue to actively support LOV with their time and resources. Veteran or civilian: if you're already thinking about things you know need to change in the new year, or what you want more of in your life - make a list and do it. It's been on my mind and one of the ways I stay focused is to continue to move my body. It helps me stay healthy and focused...Axel, on the other hand, is more than content to count reps. 😎
