Instagram cut me off at 10 pictures 🙄 so hopefully you can still get the idea of just how special this furry friend is to me 🥰
2 years ago we went to look at German Shepherd puppies....a little back story first, I didn’t want a dog at all. I thought “animal people” were creepy. Keep reading before you judge me..😂 Derek convinced me we needed a dog to make the steps in completing our family so I agreed but only under the circumstances that we get a GSD and that he would never sleep in our bed(😂😂😂 the bed is his now and I’m lucky he lets me sleep with him). LONG story short...5 months later we got the news that @z_otto_6 was going to be deploying and sarge would literally become my best friend and MUCH needed companion. Derek was gone almost a year and a half. In that time I went through an addiction and a very isolated phase in my life where I desperately needed Sarge. He never left my side and quite honestly I wouldn’t have gotten out of bed most days if it wasn’t for him.
Needless to say, I no longer think animal people are creepy. In fact I think the opposite. 🤣♥️ #dogmom#furbaby#germanshepherdmom#gsdofinstagram#dogsofinstagram#gsdlover#furmom#dogoftheday#dogstagram#gsdforever#gsdlove#gsdphotos#gsdlife#germanshepherdsofinstagram#family#furryfriend#son
Mom took me and my boyfriend to get a bath this weekend & now we are all nice and squeaky clean. Mom even checked our weight and I went from 64lbs to 77lbs!!! Tank on the other hand, had me beat by 12lbs because he grew to 89lbs! But don’t worry, we were so exhausted that I fell asleep on his big comfy butt on the way home 💗 • • •

Announcing our "Dogs for Defense" toys rolling out this week!
Meet Duke the Doberman and Shep the German Shepherd! These dogs represent an important role in our nation's history. After the attack on Pearl Harbor the Dogs for Defense (DFD) was founded and encouraged dog owners across the country to donate their family dogs to be trained and serve as war dogs in WWII. Learn more about this part of our history this Saturday when R.J. Nevens Jr. the author of "Walking Point" will be here to sign books and answer questions.
