Although it looks alien, this is our planet EARTH 🌎 .
Decided to show you a little bit of my process. Swipe to see the “before” version.
It’s amazing what a little editing can do. I like to keep my editing process true to what I see in front of my eyes. These vibrant colors were present in the moment, but they are hard to capture with a camera. They just needed a little boost in post to make them come alive. Thanks @lightroom for such great editing software.
What if I told you... this is not the ocean, it's a LAKE. A freakin' LAKE. 🤯
Super white, soft sand, clearest waters, and so many shades of blues and aquas. Pinch me. 😍
➕Where(plus code): MJCC+Q9 Bacalar, Quintana Roo, Mexico
👉Lake Bacalar. This spot is more specifically called Pirate's Canal. About an hour away from cruise town Costa Maya or the tiny fishing village of Mahahual.
Waking up in the forest, only a short ways from a quiet, beautiful lake and having it all to ourselves? Best feeling ever.
Moraine Lake is definitely worth the hype. But, given the amount of tourists that frequent it, I think I personally preferred the experience of being isolated here much more than experiencing the visual beauty of Moraine.

London Day 3 (part 2)
After the Tower of London we walked across the Tower Bridge and wandered the other side of the River Thames. Spent about 30 minutes wandering and trying to find the perfect restaurant, and finally we did. Seriously the best burrito I’ve eaten in a restaurant in Europe. We wandered down a ways more until we reached the London Bridge (not pictured). We then found a beautiful church that had been destroyed previously in a Blitz attack during WW2 and is now a garden among ruins. It was a nice way slot spend about an hour and a half, away from the business of the city.
And finally we headed to our tour of the night...A Jack the Ripper walking tour. The last photo is the boarding house each of his victims would have stayed at, as long as they were able to earn the 4pence to stay the night (and if they didn’t have the money they earned it the best way they knew how, a few minutes with a gentleman client up against an ally wall). The “Ripperologist” guide was incredibly insightful, captivating and just a lot of fun. He also has a great theory on who the Ripper truly is, and he believes the police at the time knew too! But it’s all a conspiracy that can be traced up to the royals. A great way to spend an hour and a half or so at night in London. #london#england#towerbridge#towerbridgelondon#toweroflondon#jacktheripper#jacktherippertour#adventure#tour#getlost#explore@theamandashow_92
I did not have the best luck with clouds on this one. Rainier was right there but wasn't showing her face. Right towards the end of the hike I noticed that tip peaking thru the clouds and snapped this one 📸

"...And some people travel far more than others . There are those who receive as birthright an adequate or at least unquestioned sense of self
and those who set out to reinvent themselves,
for survival or for satisfaction,
and travel far." "Sometimes an old photograph, an old friend, an old letter will remind you that you are not who you once were, for the person who dwelt among them,
no longer exists." ____ -- Go, travel far, y'all. By 'travel' it can be that sometimes people travel a lot physically ,but never travelled truly with the mind.
You could, but don't have to be friends with everyone just for ol' time's sake, maintain something for the something's sake etc.(and frankly, wouldn't it be a more interesting connection if you had more substantial reasons ?)
Of course it's so wonderful great if you have both familiarity and the feeling of a true (re)-connection for which you might have not been open before, relegating the connection just to another level. That's real old fine wine -chemistry then.
But for this one has to know oneself . At least a bit (it's not possible to truly know yourself anyways because of the "hello, constantly shifting blind spot!" ______
____________Rebecca Solnit. A Field Guide to Getting Lost.
Today's #5Pillars4LIFE challenge from @lifeomicif is to take a walk/run somewhere new. I have my standard 1, 2, 3 and 5 mile routes that use up most of the options without driving somewhere but I took a left instead of a right, saw our local turkey flock holding up traffic trying to decide to cross the street or not, then a left instead of straight and ended up on a new road. It was fun not knowing how long the walk would end up being and making random decisions on left or rights. Ended up with a new 3 mile loop option to add to the mix. #walkingwithturkeys#getlost
I read today that about 3% of Americans consistently don't smoke, maintain healthy bodyweight, eat 5 or more servings of fruits/veggies, and get 30 min of exercise 5 times a week. 3%???!! Adding in stress level moderation and sleep needs drops that to about 1%...let's be the 1%. #precisionnutrition

tuesdays were made to travel plan ↡
every few months I get the urge to start travel planning even before we’ve left for our next trip ↠ we have one big one planned but who says you can’t dream of taking two ↠ someone give me a trip to plan before I spend all of our money in 2020 🤦🏼♀️
I need to go back to Asturias as soon as possible! This is a place of unique seascape and beautiful mountains...unfortunately in only two days on our way to the UK, I didn’t manage do much...I tried to photograph the #lascatedrales beach an incredible rock formation I’ve had my eye on for some time now, but at the end of the beach walk i wasn’t allowed to access the actual place because they close the beach for high tide:( such a bummer specially because I drove so far...turns out all the other beaches I had planned were inaccessible due to unusual high tide so I just gave up to spare my kids the effort...in my memory I’ll have the beautiful hostel and beach in the heart of the #caminodesantiago we stayed in and the mellow and welcoming vibe there ❤️ soon very soon I’ll go back !

🏺In Roman times, Baile Geoagiu were known as "Thermae Germisara" or "Germisara cum Thermis". The Roman thermal baths (Germisara) remained almost in the same form as in antiquity, being built in the current location of Geoagiu-Bai, into a circular promontory of 90-95 m diameter🏺
