We left our campground site today after being there for a week and after being pretty stagnant for the past 5-6 weeks. I was definitely missing the beach and since our reservation was up it was time to start traveling again. It was nice to relax and have a breather but it’s also nice to be able to get up and move when you want to, when you’re ready or in our case when you’re not ready. So this morning Essence got her horse ride in with some amazing people we had met at our last campsite. This is the second time she has ever ridden a horse and she did much better this time than last time (she was falling off it last time). It’s always bittersweet leaving. It is sad when we leave so we honor our feelings but it’s exciting to know that there are people we are meant to meet that we haven’t met yet. And THAT right there is what gets us really excited! ✨

Dog + yurt
Poor Winston isn't used to getting out. After a drive of lots of barking and then peeing on all the trees in the freezing weather.... He finally got tired.
In other news, you know when you are living one of those travel memories that you know is going down in the history? "Hey Mom, remember that time we were dog sitting in Nova Scotia? And you decided we should sleep in a yurt and then it turned out to be 11 degrees F? And we drove through hundred km wind gusts with sometimes zero visability while there was a weather warning?
And the dog was freaking out and barking on and off the whole multi-hour drive? And we fit the 7 of us and 2 grandparents in a van with 7 seats and Eli had to sit in the trunk with the dog? And you thought there was a heated bathroom building but it was an outhouse?
I could actually go on. But you get the idea. I just thought it important to share one of those IG vs reality moments. It looks so serene, doesn't it?!? 😂😂😂😂 PS. For the record, we got a room for the grandparents in the lodge. With a toilet.
