You can easily obtain all the protein you need on a vegan diet, and WITHOUT supplementing.
The DRI (Dietary Reference Intake) is 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight, or 0.36 grams per pound. This amounts to: 56 grams per day for the average sedentary man, 46 grams per day for the average sedentary woman. 👇👇👇👇👇
By the way, that's not the MINIMUM to prevent deficiency. That's TWO standard deviations above to ensure it meets the requirements of the majority of the population. Meaning it's more than enough for someone who works an office job and doesn't exercise regularly.
If you are an endurance athlete, you may need more protein - about 0.5–0.65 grams per pound, or 1.2–1.4 grams per kg is the recommendation.
The average person only needs 10-15% of their calories to come from protein. Someone who is active will obviously need to eat more to replenish lost energy. If they keep that same percentage but increase their calories, they are consuming more grams of protein than someone who is sedentary and requires less calories. It's as simple as that!

Homemade #sushi#sunday 🙌🏻🙌🏻 This is a little labor intensive but so worth it! 😋😋 I share the easy sushi rice 🍚 #recipe below 👇👇. It’s incredibly versatile as you can roll whatever you want in them and my kiddos 👫👫 literally flip over it! If there is any left, they love it for their lunch boxes 📦 next day too. I did these with brown rice 🍚 and filled some with #wildcaught smoked salmon 🐟, avocado 🥑, cucumbers 🥒, some with smoked trout, red pepper 🌶, #local micro greens 🌿and avocado 🥑. I also did some #vegan ones with carrots 🥕, red pepper, avocado and micro greens. Absolutely delicious 😋!!! 4 cups brown rice short grain cooked in a rice cooker @zojirushi_usa
3/4 cup rice vinegar
3 tbs real maple syrup
Take a small sauce pan and add vinegar and maple syrup. Heat on low for 5 minutes then let cool.
Take cooked rice and move it to a large bowl. Pour rice vinegar mixture over rice then use a rice paddle to fully combine though the rice. It’s now ready for sushi rolling with your favorite ingredients!! Youtube how to roll your own. It’s actually very easy once you get the hang of it. Enjoy! ❤️

Head of Broccoli without stems
Salt and pepper -
Whisk eggs and milk. Then dump everything else in and put into greased dish and cook until top isn’t runny. I’m going to add cheese to top when I heat up to eat during the week

Pár napja láttam @fitfoods_diet Vivinél ezt a pofon egyszerű #szafifree Csökkentett ch- tartalmú bagett/zsemle lisztkeverékből készült melegszendót, ami annyira jól nézett ki, hogy muszáj volt kipróbálnom nekem is.
A végeredmény olyan szuper melegszendvics lett, hogy huhh 😍😍 tényleg nagyon egyszerű, gyorsan elkészül és számtalan módon variálható! 😁👌 Jelen esetben én kolbászos sajtos szendvicset csináltam.
A tészta a csomagolás hátulján található (125 g liszt, 10 g frissen facsart citromlé, 185 g víz és én adtam hozzá még 2 g sót is).
A hozzávalókat kimértem, alaposan elkevertem, pihentettem 10 percig, majd 4 egyenlő részre osztottam és miután kinyújtottam a melegszendvics sütő méretére megpakoltam a tetszőleges hozzávalókkal. Miután ráraktam a tetejét is a tésztáta lecsuktam a sütőt és utána kapcsoltam csak be. Innentől számítva 7-8 perc alatt el is készült nekem a szuper melegszendvics. 😁

I feel like my feed is becoming a free for all on the yumminess since starting IF a couple of months ago 😂
To clear the air I don’t just splurge my way through my days, hoping my body will figure out how to use dairy-free ice cream and PSLs to think clearly, generate abs, and keep the aging graceful. I do eat freely a couple times per week, and eating just to enjoy the food on my plate is a welcome change.
The rest of the time I’m still focused. I special order my supplements online bc I’m not sold on the quality I find locally (can I get a whoop whoop for online shopping, what did people do before everything was just a click away 😅). I fill my plate with veggies and go from there most days. I even started ordering a higher quality meat delivered straight to my doorstep, I’ve always had an issue with commercial farms and now I’ve got a better option there too.
But I can’t lie, nothing is as Instaworthy in my world as a good feast meal every now and again 🤤
Today I found out my local supermarket has stopped stocking gluten free flour. So I kicked up a bit of a (polite) fuss about it and made all the complaints and requests in the right areas before coming home to sulk.
Then I received and put together an IKEA shoe rack - love a bit of organisation.
I've also batch cooked: 4 (now 3) portions of roasted chorizo/red onion/red pepper salad and 2 portions of lentil curry now in the freezer.
Then. The highlight. I made this beauty! Apple cinnamon cake.
Then the real highlight: I ate two pieces worth without even bothering to cut it into two. 😁

Do one and do it well and then try the next thing later!

FALL SOUP ON DECK🍂 I am sooo ready for fall weather and chunky sweaters how about you?🥰 Guys this soup is so easy to make, so satisfying and also great when you are feeling under the weather like me🤕
What you need (4-6 servings)👉
🍁 5 cups of chicken bone broth (I use @pacificfoods organic bone broth with no salt added)
🍁 1 large skinless chicken breast shredded (cook on the side)
🍁 4 celery stalks chopped
🍁 1 onion chopped
🍁 2 cups carrots chopped
🍁 2 cups mushrooms chopped
🍁 Large handful of purple kale roughly chopped
🍁 1 cup sauerkraut
🍁 3 cloves garlic
🍁 1 tbsp @foursigmatic 10 mushroom blend
🍁 2 tbsps ground turmeric
🍁 1 tbsp ground ginger
🍁 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
🍁 2 tbsps coconut oil
🍁 Salt and pepper to taste, lil cayenne pepper if you’re feelin spicy
🍁 In a large pot over medium heat, melt the coconut oil then add the onion, celery, carrots, mushrooms and cook, stirring occasionally for about 6-8 minutes. Season with salt & pepper.
🍁 Stir in broth, turmeric, ginger, garlic and mushroom blend. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered for 20-30 mins. Then, using a slotted spoon, remove and discard the garlic.
🍁 Add the kale, chicken and sauerkraut, stir to combine, and heat through. Stir in the parsley and let sit for a bit. Ready to slurp!🥄
