Two years ago, we were saying goodbye to Owen and his mom Susan at the end of their 3 day visit. If you weren’t friends with Chi Chi at that time or haven’t seen the pictures of Owen and Chi Chi’s visit recently, we hope these memories bring happiness, hope and inspiration to your life.
When he was a toddler, Owen was burned over 98% of his body. As a result of the injuries he sustained, in 2017 he had to have both of his legs amputated. Owen was inspired by Chi Chi and wanted to meet her. Many people came together to make it possible for Owen and Susan to travel to Phoenix so Owen could meet Chi Chi. It was a surprise - Owen didn’t know he was traveling to meet Chi Chi until he arrived. .
Owen and Chi Chi had an instant connection. They both had been through so much in their short lives, yet they both responded to their challenges and difficulties with courage, perseverance, happiness and a positive attitude. They never stopped smiling. .
We had a wonderful weekend with Owen and Susan. We did so many fun things together. We are so thankful that Chi Chi was able to be with us for almost everything we did. God’s plan for Owen and Chi Chi to meet was perfect - we are thankful they met before Chi Chi got sick. We have so many special memories from our time together that we will always treasure. We look forward to seeing them again at some point in the future. .

Meanwhile in Canada ❄️❤️❄️ #winterwonderland .
We woke up to a winter wonderland today! I have to admit we were pretty excited about all this fresh powder! That also means it’s going to be a long winter so ask me again how I feel in a couple of months 😬😂
Who else is excited about snow and winter?
