It’s easy in today’s social media world to fall into the trap of chasing the perfect life, the newest stuff, gadget, etc... but life has a way of reminding us that it is the people around us and the memories we share, the laughs, the company of a friend, or the simple beauty in the world in front of us that is most real. Those things will always have the greatest impact on the soul. 🦋 #themostbeautifulthingsinlifearenotthings#foodforthesoul#livelovelaugh
The second day we left the Costa Rica vacation house we chartered a catamaran alllllllll to ourselves. Not a single other boat on the lake. They took care of every single detail. Picked us up from our house and took us to the dock where breakfast waiting for us aboard. After our ride across the lake a car picked us up to take us on a guided sloth tour. We saw multiple via telescope WAY high in the trees and then towards the end a very special treat of one climbing down right in front of us!!! They only come down from the tree tops once a week verrrrrryyyyy slowly to poop 🤣. After our tour the car took us to Baldi Hot Springs for lunch (spotting a Toucan) and an afternoon of enjoying the breathtaking facilities. Sorry not sorry I didn’t take more pictures. Honestly most of these pics are from Rob or Arlee and Nancy our guide’s phone. I was completely present ❤️. The boys enjoyed the water slides and I enjoyed the natural sauna and natural hot pools. We then headed home back on the boat for sunset Pina Coladas, a family dance party and the straw that broke the camel’s back on the flood gates of my tears over our perfect day was seeing Captain Judson and Captain Rainey safely drive us home 🤣😍. I was speechless. I took mental pictures of everything and treasured every second with my favorite people. So so so thankful to “take in the goodness of life.” (Thankful my friend Joy Ballard helped me realize this was just what I needed). God was so so gracious...it poured the next 2 days so the weather was MUY PERFECTO for this special treat. .
Memory with the patchy boy. A gorgeous Anglo-Arabian horse became a star in the sky recently. He might become sunshine because of the meaning of his name “ soleil “ French word which means the sun.
He was calm, friendly and always my good mate.
Miss you so much. I will never forget you. Yeah never ever forget you.
That feeling of seeing and celebrating one of your closest friends getting married to the one she loves is indescribable, discovering emotions I wasn't even sure I had. It was 3 days full of love, laughter and madness with the absolute best squad!
Thank you @niralighatalia and @tanay_gandhi for a fabulous time and here's to happily ever after 🥂 💕
I may be a tad obsessed about food & Photography, but this lake is where my heart does that little flip, & I find peace... along with lots of laughter, frozen toes & hot tea with a lively community of year round swimmers. Would love to hear about others’ places of ‘escape’ from work & daily chores 🙂

I would 💜to know your favourite Charity! Comment below ✍
I volunteer for a charity called @reengageuk which has brought a lot of warmth and happiness to my soul.
Once a month I organise a tea for local elderly people who would otherwise be alone.
We have plenty of cuppas (very British of us)🍵, and plenty of cake 🍰. We have a good old natter, about past and present. Of long marriages, the good old days, or their struggles during the war.
The guests are always so grateful and thankful that we take time out of our lives so they can get out for a few hours. I couldn't think of anything else
I would rather be doing!
