When I was a country girl going to school in the city in Trinidad, under a large Poinciana tree in the middle of my schoolyard was my favorite place to sit.
In the midst of all the chaos about racism, I can’t help but think of all of the small things that link me to my Trinidadian childhood, my ancestors, their journey to the Caribbean, their hard work and sacrifice and all the untold abuse and triumphs they must have made. I am grateful to be a beneficiary of every decision they made move past adversity and believing in something ahead that was bigger than what was behind.
First, I want to say congratulations to you two on your engagement 💍 🎉🍻 @email@example.com ⠀
Second, thank you for being up for absolutely anything! (My crazy ideas) ⠀
I’ve had all these creative ideas build up in my brain during lockdown that I needed to unleash. So it’s been great to get back out creating what I love to create. ⠀
As a photographer, I am constantly looking for new locations to shoot (not just the beach) that can be hard to do on such a tiny island like Cayman. But recently discovered a new spot (new to me) and I brought these two their! Double tap if you want to see the photos 💛🧡

It's national bikini day! 🌙⭐
Miss you Cayman 💙
This goes out to ALL the amazing women in my life. From my amazing momma, my sister, my grandmas and aunties to EVERY. SINGLE. BEAUTY that I have had the absolute pleasure of crossing paths with.
Everyday I wake up so thankful that I took that leap of faith in 2013 - fresh uni grad, young, broke and totally wide open to the endless possibilities of the world as I left my hometown to move to the Caribbean. I’ve met the most incredible women along the way - women who’ve inspired me. Challenged me. Made me second guess my opinion, rethink something. Women who’ve taught me invaluable lessons. Women who felt comfortable enough to share their life stories and experiences with me. Women who’ve motivated me to do better, be better. Women from all over the world.
Women from India, Ireland, Cuba, Canada, Mexico, England, USA, New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, China, Germany, Romania, Italy, Curaçao, Haiti, Philippines, Peru, Spain, Barbados, Honduras, South Africa, British West Indies, Virgin Islands, St. Kitts, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Holland, Egypt, Colombia, South Korea, Pakistan and so many more remarkable places on our Mother Earth.
Everyday I wake up feeling incredibly blessed that I’ve had the opportunity to become friends with these women, all with their own story to share and from all walks of life.
We’ve learned from one another. Laughed together. Cried together. Made mistakes together. Shared successes together. I feel immensely grateful. Thank you 💛

I certainly feel like an itty bitty pearl in the waters of Grand Cayman. And I think of this morning that I went for a swim before hopping on a flight back home, the last trip I took before COVID.

I spent almost 2 years planning out how 2020 was going to go...chasing dreams...working hard...taking advantage of the opportunities that came my way.
Officially all of those plans have been postponed until 2021 or maybe all-together. But luckily there's more than one oyster in the sea and I have found another. More on this new "oyster" or opportunity soon! Stay tuned...
