Dort in der Casa haben wir dann 3 wunderschöne Tage miteinander verbracht. 3 Tage einfach mal Zeit für uns. Jeden Tag viele Stunden am Meer und in der Sonne gelegen und geredet. Über so viel...

Un classico dell'artigianato a uncinetto: il centrino!
Se chiudi gli occhi è lo stesso centrino che vedevamo a casa della nonna... magari un po' impolverato che stava su quel vecchio mobile anni 50' :) Oppure a casa di una prozia, sul poggiatesta della poltrona per salvare dallo sporco la tappezzeria sulla quale sedevi (neanche avessimo avuto tra i capelli del carbone): ma se chiudo gli occhi mi viene in mente anche una camera da letto e un comò con il ripiano in marmo e un centrino vintage sul quale poggia la foto di famiglia e uno cofanetto portagioielli...
Il centrino è un classico, ma sono sempre belli da vedere.

Every early morning dentist appointment should end in hot chocolate, rightttttt?!?!
☕☕☕☕ Couldn't believe grandma had never been to @starbuckscanada before - and being such a hot chocolate connoisseur, had to swing by on the way out of Midtown, after her appointment. ❤❤
Of course while I ordered she made friends with the people at the neighboring tables and asked to go back next week when we do some Christmas shopping. She's officially hooked on Starbz at the ripe age of (almost) 85.

We just had the most wonderful weekend spent at @WaltDisneyWorld with my mom and the babe. We wandered, rode rides, ate ALL the things, and enjoyed a stress-free weekend at the parks. I hadn’t been during the holidays in years so it was so much fun seeing all the lights and decorations. I just LOVE this time of year!
My favorite experience this weekend was the Jingle Cruise (aka Jungle Cruise) at Magic Kingdom. Silly punny jokes get me every time and this ride was FULL of them and all holiday related! So fun!

What are some of your most treasured Christmas traditions?
.
I began a few when our children were small...one of those being that we spent a little time making these wonderfully scented ornaments. (SWIPE for steps and my cutie patootie helpers)
.
When my son was about 8 or nine he told me it didn't feel like it was the holiday season until we made them.
.
They are so simple to make, as you can tell from my cute little 1 year old and 3 year old helpers.
.
You will need cinnamon, applesauce, a bowl and spoon, rolling pin, wax paper or parchment paper, a toothpick, ornament hangers, and a cookie sheet.
.
Mix 1/2 cup of applesauce with 1/2 cup of ground cinnamon. (optional; add 1/4 tsp cloves and/ or nutmeg)
.
Roll into a ball then flatten and roll to about 1/4 inch.
.
(If mixture is too moist and sticky sprinkle it with cinnamon untill you can roll it with a rolling pin)
.
Cut shapes with small to medium size cookie cutters.
.
Carefully lay on a cookie sheet lined with wax or parchment paper.
.
Poke a hole in each with a toothpick ( to put ornament hanger through later)
.
Allow to dry completely (36-48 hrs) turning once or twice a day.
.
Attach ornament hanger and hang on tree, garland, or even packages.
.
The warmth of the tree lights helps to spread the lovely scent throughout your home.
.
These two little guys really enjoyed their first time with grammy and Aunt Lacy creating these cute ornaments. .
Family traditions are what memories are made of. I hope these guys will have many happy memories with us like I did with my grandparents and our children did with theirs.

We had the honor of attending my dad's company Christmas party today, and though I didn't get any pictures of him we had an amazing time. Arrow was in heaven with all the games and lights, he had a great time playing video games with his granny, and we were delighted to find out that there was an open bar when we got there! 😁 I love this time of year lol
