Do you have a wreath on your front door?! I’ve been searching high and low for colorful artificial succulents time make this wreath. I finally found them on clearance for 70% off sooooo happy with how it turned out, totally digging it, what do you think?! I made it myself by poking the stems into a foam wreath...Even when they fade over time from the sun I can pull them off give them a new spray of color and put them back up again 💕 🌈
I’ve been slowly making my way through The Nickel Boys & man, it hurts. I didn’t know how tough this one would be, but I’m determined to read it through.
What are you reading this week? And drop a ☕️ below if you’re starting your day with a book & a coffee!

After chatting to lots of you in my messages and comments it seems that many of us are feeling a little down or just downright weird at the moment. It’s so nice to feel connected to people in this way, even though I’ve never met most of you. For the first time in a while I’ve been feeling my anxiety rising up so I’m launching myself into all my calming habits: holding my crystals, deep breathing, list making, looking out the window and researching the moon / planets. My lovely friend @catesthill has started a series on her blog called “Mental wellbeing, my home and me”, she interviewed me and you can see a tour of my flat and learn more about my mental health on her blog now.
To quote the interview (as I think it’s a nice sentiment) “What’s the one piece of advice you’d give to someone looking to create a calm, comforting space at home? If you want to achieve a calm space you first have to note what makes you feel calm. Not everyone is the same so forget about the rules. Some people find white a calming colour while some find it sterile and cold. Notice what makes you feel at peace and bring that into your home.”
With Arthur’s room transformation I was constantly thinking about his storage space for toys and books. He is in the little box room so a good storage solution is key! That’s why we went for the mid sleeper bed with just enough under for his Kallax units for all his toys. He loves this space - calls it his ‘cave’ and now spends hours up here playing. Another hug bonus as it means my living room doesn’t get turned upside down quite as often now - Hooray!

Creating art... ❤️
For a lot of my interior projects I create my own art work. I like to soak up my surroundings and put together a piece that will really work with the style and design I’ve just created.
Have a lovely day. 👍🏻
Morning everyone. I’ve been so focused on getting the downstairs looking lovely lately that I’ve totally neglected upstairs. It’s so messy 🤯
Clothes, make up, toys - you name it, it’s sprawled out everywhere! So I’m going to be productive at lunch and sort it out. I also need to change the third bedroom from my dressing area into a home office for the next few months. If it looks okay I’ll share a pic 😬
Anyway, back to today’s theme, it had to be these gorgeous oak shelves and their wingate brackets from @funkychunkyfurniture. When designing our kitchen we didn’t want lots of cupboard space but open shelving instead. These shelves are the perfect storage solution and create such a nice feature. I’m surprised I haven’t faffed much with the items on it - must of nailed it first time 😆
A bit of TREASURE ✨.
To some you are nothing, but to me you are a part of the history of this house 😊, it was somebody’s once! We found it at the back of the garden when digging up the rockery... made me think of my grandad 🥰.
Day 7 of @mydailyrenovation July challenge.
We woke up to the weirdest sound in the middle of the night. It sounded like a duck being strangled whilst having a fight with a bin.
We’re pretty sure it was a fox trying to find food but I think we scared it off when we opened the blind and it ventured off up the road and continued to squeal it’s weird quacking noise 🙉
That’s the most interesting thing happening here, thought you’d like to know 😂
Day 4 of #myhousethismonth
Mornings like these 🖤
I love mornings at number 10. Ant has already gone to work, I get up, do what washing up needs to be done, feed the cats & tidy up and then I always sit and have a cup of coffee on my own, in my favourite mug, in complete silence, in my nice tidy house before my day begins.
It’s usually the most peaceful part of my day 🖤 do you have a morning routine?
