I can’t live without natural light and sun.
I am blessed to live in a country 🇬🇷where the sun shines throughout all seasons.
For those of you who have already visited Greece, you have felt the euphoric state that instantly comes over you as soon as that first golden ray of the Greek sun☀️ hits your face!
I so much believe in the power of the sun and the positive effects it has on our body and our life in general.
The handsome man illustrated on the bookmark ( product you can find on my website and etsy store) is Greek God Apollo, one of my favorite Greek Gods.
Apollo is one of the most complex and important Gods, and is the God of many things, including: music, poetry, art, oracles, archery, plague, medicine, sun, light and knowledge. He is the son of Zeus and Leto, and was born in the Greek island of Delos, along with his older twin sister Artemis– Goddess of the hunt.
Apollo is the ideal of the kouros, which means he has a beardless, athletic and youthful appearance. He is also an oracular god as a patron of Delphi and could predict prophecy through the Delphic Oracle Pythia.
Did you know that the Project Apollo from Nasa was named after him?
The Apollo program, also known as Project Apollo, was the third United States human spaceflight program carried out by NASA, which succeeded in landing the first humans on the Moon from 1969 to 1972.
Greek Mythology continues to have a large influence on our modern lives.
Everywhere you turn, there is likely to be a reference to Greek Mythology. In the brand of the sports shoes you are wearing, the way a building has been constructed, the music 💽you are listening to or the poem 📝you are studying at school.
