There has been a recent crackdown on dogs in bars in Victoria. Recently bar Josephine in Footscray was warned for having dogs inside by the council on the grounds of 'state law' (this is bollocks - bar Josephine serves no food and is not an eating area). Some of us here LOVE going to bars with our dogs (and most of us just love our dogs). There is no common sense reason why a dog would be a health and safety risk in a bar without a food preparation area, serving only alcohol and soft drink (and yet not a health risk in a courtyard attached to the same venue?)For the sake of animal-human companionship, could you please sign this petition?

Buen día de Miércoles! Esperamos que estéis pasando una buena semana y que el finde sea mejor aún ☺️. Aquí parece que ya se empieza a notar que ha llegado el frío, por vuestros lares ya vais con abrigo?! .
Today I wanted to find out, now that there is a bit of a lull, how your dogs have coped with the fireworks so far.
Did you do anything different? Were your dogs less affected than usual, or more so? Do you have any advice for new years eve?
I had been recommended a product that I wasn't sure would work, as Aston's reaction to fireworks is quite severe. We gave the recommended dose to him daily for two weeks before and during the two weeks of the fireworks and I have to say I'm so impressed with the outcome.
He still shook and panted, but he was nowhere near as bad as usual. He wasn't trying to bury himself in the downstairs loo, he wasn't shaking so violently that he couldn't stand and his recovery after an evening of them was astounding.
What was this wonderful product? It was @dorwest Scullcap and Valerian tablets and Valerian compound combo and I can't thank them enough. Even my sceptical husband was impressed!
All of our anxiety surrounding the firework season was diminished and I'm so grateful to the people that recommended we give it a try. Thank you @fur_and_fables and @redhoundfordogs 😍
